  • they should be able to buff that all out....

  • fuck the pilot

  • everytime i go back to columbus their jet scared me.

  • pause at 1:10 and the plane's engine blew up before impact

  • @robloxian8153

No, the left wing hits a power line.

  • @hffin yea i know after watching it

  • @robloxian8153 definitely clipped a power line.

  • @robloxian8153 looks like the wing struck power lines

  • ..B52 is not a fucking F16 for those kind of acrobatie...

  • ahahah like ALWAYS some WOMEN SHOUTING in the BACKGROUND HAHA"!

  • there goes the countrys hundred billion dollars in a flaming wrecage.

  • what software did you use to create the blow up effect. was is photo shop? cause photo shop is really good and that looked really good

  • @Danielmutten

    haha.. loser

  • @Danielmutten perhaps this was for real and was not software invovled

  • @Danielmutten

Why you make us login to see it? Over 18? MORON!

  • @Danielmutten i dont think it looks real

  • R.I.P

  • They were at an Air Show in Washington at Fairchild AFB. If you notice he slowed his speed on the first pass as he rounded the landing strip. There was a KC-135 tha had landed just before it, so he reduced his speed. The 60 degree bank he was attempting is possible with a BUFF, but not at that speed at that altitude. I was a B-52 Crew Chief for 6 ears. My insructor was the guy filming the second shot.

  • Hey hffin, but how come the pilot passed 60°? I mean... dude taht is a really heavy aircraft!

What kind of show was that?

  • That is some crazy shit!

  • Dang terrorist need to be put in jail. god this video is horrible in a sad sad way. R.I.P

  • This is not pilot error, this is pilot stupidity.

  • did they died?

  • @remingtonh Nah they survived a big fucking explosion and a straight on to the ground crash! ofc they've died!

  • Dud he died?

  • @MrGrevy Yes R.I.P ;(

  • hffin, you misspelt 'error' in your title

In the case of this particular accident , it is spelt

'asshole' as in the Pilot was an Asshole.

Which he was by all accounts.

  • he banked 60 degrees?

looked more like 90 to me x_x

    wow. was the pilot experienced?

and was he a a jet fighter pilot or a trained commercial airplane pilot?

  • they were actually practicing for an airshow... this is really sad though :(

  • favorited

  • what the fuck was he thinking?!?!?!?!?!

no one flies a plane like that, guess its the last time he'll try that move.... too bad for the other ppl on the plane. fucking moron.

  • usaf = worst pilots, RAF = Best

  • @HellionsBow Yeah you really handled the luftwaffe without us lol idiot go eat the food we airlifted you sods.

  • man that was really horrible.

  • i think he was just testing the strength of the wings

  • mocno

  • was this a remote controlled plane?

  • check my profile !

I got the Hudson crash footage !!!

  • don't drive if you drunk

  • The story was that the Pilot was an arrogant sob, which might explain why the co-pilot couldn't step in.

  • stupid pilot

  • that sucks..

  • Read a report into this crash and by all accounts the pilot was know for carrying out Dangerous Manoevers. So much so that another Col on the Air Base had stated that he was going to refuse to let any of his Squadrons Aircrew fly with him !!!

  • In the reports he was called "Mr. Airshow" by the base commanders for his talent and ability to carry out impressive maneuvers at the shows. It is interesting how he makes one serious blunder and all of a sudden he's not a trained, experienced pilot anymore, he's a crazy whacko with a history of unacceptable recklessness. If this crash had never happened he would still be flying the same crazy stunts, and probably still be regarded as a great pilot.

  • I don't understand why they had to do it so close to the ground...

roll the dice enough times and you will lose.

  • I have cream cracker

  • maybe you put things like that up your or your mums arse you aint comin near mine you nlittle twat did you know the ppl that died? hope you did, now go fuck yourself you silly little puddle of spunk

  • @carpfart: Why you talk about things you don't understand? This was for sure not a remote controled crash!

  • wow your an ass how bout you stop talking like a tough guy (witch your not) and just stop using your mouth if you ant got nuthin nice to say!

  • Sad :( but i dunno why pilot was doing those extreme turns? Did he wanna die?

  • i have 14 years :p

  • Airelons were flat. That's no Pilot-Error. He lost Airelons and tried to level with his right Bank break, that was possibly his last option but could not recover. Airelons were definately not working, only the Brakes and that's not enough. I have seen some Higher Resolution video's and there was always the same. Pilot was in low elevation and uses the right break to level without Airelons Br. Dieter
  • Either way that is why I've never preferred flying. I flown twice over the Pacific, but it was only with not thinking about what could happen. :)

  • was this plane hijacked?:O

  • RETARD JUST LIKE THE ppl on dc 10 united airline in 1989 some fan disk had a 13 mm crack and they let it go wat worse was the flight was inspected 2 dyas before flying and the fan disk ended up expoding and puncturung all the hydrolic systems

  • lol the person at the end "oh shit..."

  • Such a shame that stupidity kills so many people. The B-52 should never be banked at that extreme angle. No Ailerons+Heavy aircraft+Dumbass=death...

  • why cant they just install a giant port on the top of the cockpit with ejecto-seatos!

  • This incident and video is used for AF training, top of which is to show poor leadership. At previous bases, this pilot was constantly in trouble for pushing safety regulations, but by the time it needed his commander to do something, he would PCS to another base, and another commander had to learn all over again that the guy needed disciplining before he got himself or others killed. At this station, again, he was volunteering to fly for an airshow and this was a practice.

  • (Cont)It was a senior crew because so many refused to fly with him. Senior squadron members went with him for the sake of the squadron and the airshow. Again, he hadn't done enough at this squadron for the commander to seriously restrain him. I got this info from a fellow pilot who flew at that base, at a leadership class for Squadron Officer School, Maxwell AFB. It is held up as why you need to know your people, and don't hesitate to make tough disciplinary decisions before it is too late.

  • Chilled monkey brains taste good. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

  • Unfortunatelly we are watching Murphy's Law in action...

  • How can they say this is pilot error? It was clear to see that he was unable to correct! If it was the pilots fault, he must have intended to crash!

  • With ailerons already would be too difficult to recover from that bank angle at that altitude at that speed, imagine roll back several tons of airplane to level flight just by stalling one wing with the spoiler. And that's how this big bird banks back and forth, by stalling one of the wings with a spoiler to loose lift at that and lowering it. Ailerons (which B52 does not have) raises one wing while lowering the other and they are at the tip of the wings in cleaner flow of air.

  • At :39 you can already see the slip occur that should have been enough for the pilot to abort.

  • Crew...

Lt Col Arthur A. "Bud" Holland - Aircraft commander

Lt Col Mark C. McGeehan of Chester, WV - Co-pilot

Lt Col Kenneth S. Huston of Avenal, CA - Radar navigator

Col Robert E. Wolff of Chicago, IL, Safety observer (Retiree - would be his last military flight,...)

    R.I.P.

  • Analize, but don´t blame people that easily. People dare all the time. In the Swiss Alps a US military jet cut the cables of a teleferic that was taking skiers to the mountain pike. The jet went on to land, the skiers were canned like sardines in the botton of a ravine,...What to do? Kill the monkey within??

  • Seems that the flag is raised in the limitations of banking for B52´s. When you're in a racetrack looking for the limits of a tire grip in a race bike, if you can't control the slide you crash,...but most of the time you learn with it and go on!!! Airplanes have audible and visible warnings and if you don't pay attention to them most of the time you only crash it once!!!

  • well stupied all i have to say he could of easliy landed but its his fault he crashed

  • That is what you get for showing off

  • lol yuore right

  • yup! no doubt the bank angle was very strange since the pilot would be aware of it knowing that such high degree on bank at this level could be fatal...and there is always a alarm for bank angle while the aircraft is making a hard turn towards left or right with such similar bank angle as this aircraft did and Boeing aircrafts are equipped with such alarm to warn the pilot for their hazardous bank angle's and, since he was displaying great deal of effort here so he didn't had any idea about it!

  • his wife and child were waching

  • That is so sad his family had to see that.

  • This Happened in My home town and I remember it because i was a young kid and wanted to fly b52's. It was a practice run for the airshow i was going to attened a few days after, at Fairchild AFB outside Spokane Wa. If they were practicing manuvers like this i'm sure it was somthing that was planned... somthing went wrong and therefore the accident. around here every year the b52's did manuvers like that alot... now, all we have a refueling jets and no more airshows :(

  • This guys piloting skills were already in question. He apparently pushed this aircraft beyond it's own abilities and was widely criticised by other pilots before the accident

  • Correct I watched a documentary, and this accident was a feature. The pilot was always making high risk manuvers.

  • why shall i laugh at the mistake of the pilot, its terrible what happend , 1 mistake and u see never your husband bake, only a burned body, i aint laughing at this video *crys*

  • I'm not a pilot but it doesn't take an Einstein to figure out that banking that steep at low altitude with a lumbering aircraft is bound to cause a stall.

  • Looks like he decided to make a go-around on his first attempt. Sadly, the turn was way too steep for the plane to handle.

  • nice. stupid pilot. really.

  • Pinche guey!!!

  • dumb ass

  • i m sure i can find ppl in usa who would blame this on osama...lol...n bush will the first 1...lol

  • lol

  • My dad knew the pilot of that crash. Seriously, he was known to be an asshole and had failed to be a 'fighter' pilot. Many refused to fly with him because of being careless and radical. As you can see, he's trying to pull a 'fighter' jet type maneuver with a B-52. My father also knew a major on board. Too bad him and any others on the plane had to die for this stupidity.

  • n ya yur dad fuked his wife too. dude who the fuk r u kiddin?.............this whole fukin story was on the news and specially tv......

  • What's your point? So it was on tv, so what. I remember. I guess he's not supposed to be known because of so. Between pilots, the Air Force community isn't very big. It's not a shock for one pilot to know another.

On the side, find yourself an education. n, ya, yur, r, u, and fuk aren't words. What are you, 14?

  • That guy got his ass handed to him on a delicious plate of death!!!

  • shit, that would have been ok had that been a fighter jet, but not fricken b52 bomber, what was the pilot thinking?

  • She should have realized that a lift issue occurs at a bank angle exceeding a standard rate turn. Female military pilot training....hmmm. Maybe not.

  • Its amerikans, dont worry!

  • boosterr2 you dumb ass you cant spell

  • Ups, sorry!:-)

  • ups, you're an asshole racist

  • Fuck Off

  • Hey Boosterr go slit your wrist you fat fucking Russian fuck. And tell the woman who live in that country they really need to start shaving their chocolate starfish.

  • Idiot, Russian woman the best woman in the world.

  • no lebanese woman are best woman in the world, and specially the shiite :P

  • No my friend, read the comment of amerikans, when the Russian airplane crash! A wrote this after you(amerikans)!

  • Read the back story at Wiki. Simply amazing! And depressing, too.

  • jesus christ, its not a fighter jet you dumb ass

  • I saw this on the History Channel - supposedly the pilot was some kind of hot shot...good catch chai...

  • I agree with tjal4. Banking a B-52 so much that close to the ground is just begging for a fatal stall, and that's exactly what happened. Too much bravado on the late pilot's part, if you ask me . . . a true tragedy all the way around.

  • shame, at 1:08 did you see all of the righ hand speed brakes go up, he must have been trying like hell to flip it back level, personally, i have always thought those planes were big fat and unmaneuverable, proves it

  • Stellios, over to you

  • Very, very witty... I like it

  • that's just too bad. i feel sorry for those guy's families.

  • Thank you for flying with Emirates ;)!

  • Extremely poor judgement. He was too low with no power in too tight of a turn.

  • Why was he banking so hard? I don't understand.

  • Probably to avoid flying over the crowd.

  • that is a damn bad crash r.i.p my fellow pilots

  • Actually there is an ejection seat on the B52, but it was not used (probably because the crash went so fast).

  • or because how could you live if you knew that it was your fault for killing all those people. Kinda like the capitan goes down with his ship.

  • and the shaved ape headed pilots should have known that banking that fucking b52 that much would have cost death!

  • amazing

  • and they said you have to be clever to get in the airforce...

  • thats like making a sharp turn wit a 10 wheeler i guess thats what we pay our taxes for hooooraaah!!!!

  • This Plane Can Not Make 90 Degere Turn. Because It Body Size Body. JUst Helicopter Can Not Make 350 Degere Loop.

  • Oh we did not know that.

  • oh you dumbass go and learn english first...

  • They all lived. According to my credible sources.

  • They are lived. According to my credible sources.

  • That's one way to help meet a strategic arms limitation treaty deadline.

  • the reason of this crash was due to one of the pilots carelessness ..the pilot of this particular plane had a record of performing stunts with B52 bombers earlier also.....(as told in the documentary shown on discovery channel) it is an obvious fact that if someone tries to turn a B52 or a plane of this size at such a low altitude ...it is bound to fall like a stone on the earth...

  • i heard that someone was using their ipod during take off and that's what caused the plane to go down..........

  • what!?!? ipod in 1994!?!?!?

  • dude, i laughed so hard when i read your reply.... that's funny shit, brother.....:) but, seriously..... ya..... it was a prototype. it was like 6 ft tall and it could store 408k worth of music... way to bust my conspiracy theory...

  • lol

  • uhm, okay, bro? :)

    alright man..

i think too that's no pilot error..

    but a ipod prototype?? mhhhhhh

but what they want wit music in a military jet?!!?!??!

    peace

  • you know.... they were probably listening to the soundtrack from top gun....... and..... just got a little carried away....

    sounds rational to me.:)

    later hombre

  • HAHAHAHA

  • OMG, wat an idiot.....

  • who! me?

  • Yeah you.... what a tool you are.

  • just shut da fuck up.. i wanna see u try, if u must speak and write foreign languages.. so fuck u..dumb ass(es)

  • The joke was about being told to switch off all electrical items (including iPods) on take-off and landing, by Cabin Staff.

As if an iPod could cause this.....

    verrückte Deutsche!

  • uuh.. thx for the info..

    what a poor "joke"..

    hhm..

verrückt - lol - maybe.. but not so much like the most americans ;)

  • Damn, talk about pilot error! Did he forget what kind of plane he was in!!!? Nice fire ball, I hope there weren't passengers aboard.

  • The reason you were asked for age is because someone died in the video.

  • That was really stupid..

  • why is it flagged

  • Ye i don't understand either, ofcourse the video contains some screaming people and a plane crashing but i don't think it should be flagged for that.

  • yeah very sad, but i do'nt think thats a pilot error

  • Yeah, sounded like the wind was high so that may have lead to the left wing stalling....

  • Very sad ...

  • That seems to be a very nice aircraft for what it meant to be used for! Air Force says it is good for, at least, until 2040! What happen there was a problem with the pilot's attitude, not with the airplane's....

  • they shouldnt fly old planes like that

  • This happend in 1994, wise guy.

  • hffin, I so in your page the complete show of maneuvers (MISHAP OF B52 AT FAIRCHILD)this guy (pilot) had been doing. Very Informative!

  • That seems to be a very nice aircraft for what it meant to be used for! Air Force says it is good for, at least, until 2040! What happen there was a problem with the pilot's attitude, not with the airplane's....

  • fucking hell

  • omg neva going abroad again!!

  • That's a military bomber. Not a commercial airliner. =D No worries.

  • classs

  • The accident happened at Fairchild AFB in 1994. There is still debate at to the actual "cause" of the accident. There is evidence that the port aileron was jammed in the "up" position (look closely at the video just before the crash), making "recovery" impossible. The USAF, though, sticks to the "pilot error" conclusion. FYI, the pilot's friend is the one who filmed this. You can hear the pilots wife in teh background.

  • Seems like B-52s have no ailerons. Only some modified version B-52-008 (or NASA-NB-52B-008 carrier) has it. By the video one can see the spoiler "raised" on the left wing when the aircraft is first banked left and then the right spoiler (probably stalled) can been seen just before the crash. All make sense!

  • Of what I heard, a kid was in that with his parents and the kid was the only survivior.

  • Surely nobody could survive that

  • I don't think so body. I worked at a airport for 5 years and know when it is hopless.

  • not cool :(

  • I had seen a video compiled of all the stunts this kid (pilot) had done, with other pilots recommending him to be grounded.I say kid as I believe he was ~21 years of age. The complation showed this @ the end saying, "It was just a matter of time." There's all kinds of videos of him pushing that bomber to the limits. Any one know his name?

  • (...continuation) Still in a banking attitude but recovering from it, the pilot tries to pull up, the wing enters in a stall situation (seems like the flaps are all hanging out), there is no airflow to act upon the right spoiler (the only aerodynamic surface that provokes or counteracts a rolling in a B52) to lower the respective wing and... no airplane flies like that, that low, too long!

  • I think it was a pilot bad judgment of the capabilities of the airplane. As it passes by, flying strait, no problem. The first left turn (bank) is completely pilot induced. The left spoiler acts perfect the way it should in a clean flow of air, lowering the left wing. But the radical maneuver, the turn itself (the yoke must have been glued to the pilot's chest), slows the aircraft and in the end of the turn the aircraft loses speed and altitude. (continue...)

  • what a spanner

  • he is a bit!!!!!!! lol

  • well he may have bee a bad pilot but he was deffinatly on fire that day

  • could u imagine if u were in there?

  • That is NOT pilot error. If you look at the ailerons on the wings you will see that he should have been banking to the right to correct his attitude, however the aircraft continues to keep banking left. That is a mechanical failure of some kind

  • doesn matter the wing had stalled his input on the controls would be useless

  • Just FYI - The B52 does not have ailerons, only spoilers. You will see that right before impact the starboard wing spoiler is up which would make sense as a left bank control input would imply reduced lift on the right wing. You may also have see the flaps and thought they were spoilers. Bank angle was the cause of the crash. But do we know what caused the excessive bank angle?
