@nigelic Learn what's comfortable for you. Not what others do. But fingers is the way to go if you want to play fast. Just practice blast beats at like 200 bpm, then go faster.

Thanks man :) yes I'm a lefty but nowadays I play with the ride on the right side. That way I don't have to move the whole drumset to the right to fit the ride in if I play live.

i am a huge fan of good bass drum playing. i love triggers because they help you to get tight on the feet and you can play more accurate at high speeds.. as long as it does not become this fucking tapping-3-cm-off-bassdrum playing its ok for me. :D
