I had no complications, no infections. There are a couple of medical lenders if you need to go that route that they can set you up with. I was over three hundred pounds in January. I had surgery in Mexico, not wls, but I had a tubal reversal and the hospital was actually the cleanest hospital I have ever seen.. I don't think there is anything wrong with having surgery in MX. I didn't go to Mexico but I did go to Spain for the DS. It is a little more expensive than Mexico, but Dr. Baltasar is one of the best WLS surgeons in the world. If you can borrow the money from family, friends or a loan shark, it will be the best investment you ever made. My surgery was about $22,000 total with travel for two.

Don't feel bad to ask for help. I support you 100%. I know it's hard to be on a self diet. you lose the weight then you turn around and gain even more back. Its crazy. I'm only 18 but I know its hard being over weight and trying to lose it. I dont know where you live but if if you live close we could get together and try losing weight as a team. Round some people up. Haha a diet team!

There are about a dozen people on youtube that have had their surgery in Mexico and have done videos about it... the established seemed very nice and they have had great experiences. The stereo-typing of Mexico, cracks me up... around the border is pretty bad, but inside it is beautiful.

I went to Mexico to have my surgery. I went to Dr. Ortiz (he has been on the Dr's show and on Oprah) and had the lap band surgery done.I had mine done on Feb 6th, there was a man there getting it done the same time and he was around your weight.Everything went awesome! To get the lap band done it is around 7950 US.That includes everything that you need down there.Let me know if you would like more info.Dr. Ortiz has videos on here and shows his clinic. . The ONLY DS doc in Mexico I would reccomend would be Dr. Gilberto Ungson. His cash price right now is around 13k I believe. The only other non US based doc I would consider is in Brazil Joao Batista Marchesini, MD, FACS. His price is around 15k I believe.
