As stated before, the most useful light is rated between 4,200-4,800K This is the color of light, not lumens which is brightness. Use the highest lumens at a rating between those Kelvins running stock wattage.

Seems pretty much the amount of light I get out ouf the X-Treme Power H4 bulbs on my car.

Granted he's blatantly running high-beams, but judging by the markers around the road it's about the same 70m worth of decent illumination that Philips advertises with.

Also if your Xenon HIDs give this little light with the high-beams on then you're long overdue for a new set of bulbs. Or you're running ricer 8000K lights, rather than much more useful 4800K. In which case it's your own damned fault.

How well a bulb works depends greatly on the reflector and optics fitted to your car/bike. If you've tried this bulb and found it to be poor, bad luck, try another type; and there's no way of really knowing until you do try it! Equally, because a bulb claims more "blue" or "white" light, it's because it is filtering the light. Filtering reduces the output; it's impossible for a filter to magically add light output, so you have to up the power meaning it'll burn out quicker.

Although i do agree that this video is fake and not the x-treme power globes, i do have to go against the people saying that philips globes are shit and arn't even white. Because philips clearly say on their catalogue that the x-treme power are not in the white colour temp range, but merely just slighty whiter than standard OEM globes. That does not mean that they are WHITE.

You guy's must have shitty lenses or something. I put these in my Pacifica (H7type) and they are about the same as this video. I've used them for over a year in central NY weather. They cut through fog like crazy. With the high beams on I can see 75 yards of lit up road. These bulbs are really good. Not yellow by any means. If you're seeing yellow I suggest you replace your pitted up and UV damaged headlight lenses!

Cos that's what those white stripes are. If you take a closer look you'll see that car bounces when driving over those.

I've bought a few times gas station blue/white noname **itty bulbs, and those were quite bright so I can belive that this is not HID.

Trick is that you lower down lights on the switch so that long lights look really bright on a short distance.

I have Phillips Crystal Vision Ultras 9006 in my 02 Explorer and they are very bright. They have a Bright white light with a bit of a blue tint. They look great, but the amount of light they put out is even better.

Well, if you'd own Philips Xtreme Power, you'd know this isn't fake. Camera artificialy changes the video brightness, but they really make a day out of night. They are indeed that bright. Plus, the light color is more to the white than it is to the yellow. Though it's not full white like those fake xenon halogen bulbs with blue coating.

I AGREE !!! I fitted a pair to my Mondeo yesterday. The bulbs I replaced were Halfords 'Super Brilliance' bulbs. I was totally disappointed by these 'xtreme power' BULLSHIT bulbs!! They are EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE HALFORDS BULBS - BUT COST MORE. The packaging shows the bulb giving a white/blue light - BULLSHIT! The light is as 'feetkicker' describes  - YELLOW.

@GovernmentGuy I've tried both Xtremes and Night Breakers and the Night Breakers are considerably whiter. They seem to have slightly more brightness in the hot spot but are bluer/dimmer around the edges. For high beams though, the Night Breakers are ideal.

If I put it on my old 1996 frosted lens type headlamps, i am not sure if am getting the same effect. but when I compare my ancient stock koito 60/55s, they really produce a lot less lights than most cars. It could be due to the lack of technology put on these stock bulbs. I think we're really meant to change/upgrade the bulb especially for mid 90's cars with frosted headlamps.

Crystal Vision definately put out a more white/blue light (4300K), they are suited for city driving. Xtreme have a more yellow light (3500K) and are brighter and better for dark roads.

Depends if you are after the Xenon-like look (CrystalVision) or want to see more of the road with a brighter yellower light.

They're GREAT bulbs, really. Probably the best (legal) light output you can have in a halogen headlight. :)

They are +80% compared to normal bulbs, and follow their predessessors "Philips VisionPlus".

To clarify ; these are not lights, they're just supergood bulbs, called Philips Xtra Power :)
