  • How tight the drive belt is between the two pulleys.

    joey

  • I don't understand what belt deflection is... Can you explain?

  • Good vid joey. C ya on dootalk. :)

  • whats the point of belt deflection ?

  • what do i set my deflection to? i have reverse and stuff.

  • is belt deflection good or bac? my 2000 mxz 700, hte track is moving at idel. how do you change it?

  • The deflection in the video is good.

if the track moves slightly or very slowly that is ok.

If the deflection allows the clutch to emit a squeal then that is not good and have to loosen deflection a little bit. On the formula secondary you have, refer to your owners manual, you'll need a few tools to perform deflection on that particular secondary clutch.

  • That belt deflection can be used for any model of any power of any brand oem, does not matter.

When you do deflection like that you are factoring out belt length variances.

If the belt is shorter or longer than spec, if you set deflection that way then it will have the correct tension regardless of variating length.

  • That is good belt deflection. If you have belt deflection like that then no matter what length of belt whether it be short or long, calibrate the deflection of the belt so you see the track slowly turn or it does not turn but needs just a bit of help with your finger to turn...you have good deflection.

    thanks

  • Is that good or bad???

  • that is good.
