@losaface4 no offense but it always amazes me how people expect to watch every movie for free online, I bought this movie for 3.75 used from Amazon, why can't you do the same

The underlying message of this comedy was so great! Just think about it. God could come forth, but that would make us all not have any faith in a future life. HE knows what HE's doing. Just go with the flow.
HA HA HA HA Paul Sorvino thinand young. And using a southen accent straight out of Gone With the Wind. Now when I watch Goodfellas I will lol thinking of him in this. RIP JOHN.
In spite of the presence of George Burns, Barnard Hughes, John Denver, Teri Garr, Paul Sorvino and Ralph Bellamy, if you ask me, the biggest star of this film was unquestionably that tangerine colored AMC pacer wagon. Nothing screams 1970s like fake wood side paneling (except possibly vinyl roofs).
ahh the great old Gorge Burns, i think hes the only 1 entitled to be called GOD thumbs up if u agree :D, i always liked Gorge Burns, great actor, a great caring and funny man, god rest his soul
This is a great movie, I watched it as a kid and liked it a lot, had a nice message without being preachy. Love how Ralph Bellamy and Paul Sorvino look so young here, amazing.
p.s. If there is anyway to post some other parts of the movie. Like God's full testimony in court that would be awesome would like my mom to be able to post. Thanks! Also, scene where it rains in John Dever's car, but only on him....hilarious!
Bravo! Good mix with video and song. I'm impressed, Keep up the good work. Also, to other comments, true, this was one funny movie, and the messages not preachy but true. Thanks for sharing!
Jesus (ooops!), that was sweet! You made it more somber and serious, more contemplative perhaps that the films actually is, yet you brought out, through the use of the song, some nice questions all it's own.
well he died in 1997 in a plane crash, and is best known for the songs "Take me Home Country Roads" and "Thank God I'm A Country Boy"..this was his only big screen role, but he did do some TV Movies and Direct to Video Flicks!
Now I've heard a lot and even bought something. I was born after this time but I loved all his songs. There is one, in particular, that I loved even more. Perhaps love, that he sings with some Opera singer.
@christopher242424 I always get a bit sad when the younger kids don't know who John Denver is.He is to many of us Gen Xers a big part of our childhood. He fell off the radio by 1980,but in the 70s he was as big as Michael Jackson was in the 80s..No,I am not exaggerating. In 1975,he sold the most records in the world-100 million by 1980.He had TV specials, was on Newsweek & Rolling Stone. There's a cute clip of him on YT winning 3 American Music Awards in 1976.He won an Emmy the same yr too.
@BrisVegess I didn't mean to offend. I thought that I hadn't heard him. Then I remembered the song Perhaps Love that he sang in duet with sme opera singer , then Leaving in a Jet Plane and now I have one spectacular program: Christmas with John Denver and the Muppets. I tried to upload it in youtube (in parts, but I had to give up at onc because it is not allowed. By the way, he was much better than any other. I didn't even like Michael Jackson.
Now I remember seeing this in the theaters and thinking it was the funniest movie i'd ever seen. Thanks so much for your excellent work bringing back these memories, as only you can. Great job, Craig!
I just do NOT understand why Donald Pleasance had such a high billing in the credits for this film. His role was little more than a cameo actually.

I never figured out why Donald Pleasance had such a prominent billing in the credits for this film. His role was actually very minor.

I always thought that Joan Osborn was the first to sing this.

@IDLERACER So true, the Pacer was the epitome of bad 70's styling, the fake wood paneling was the least of its problems.

What a great video. What a cast. George Burns was superb as God. Just one idea; Why don't you change your channel's name to TeriGarr's Channel?
She is fabulous. Another thing: I know someone whose hair looks like John Denver's (that is a compliment).
