Check out Gunpla Builders..... it's based on this arcade game where you build a Gundam kit and place it in the scanner within the pod and you'll be flying that Gundam. You can even modify your gundam to give it extra armour or weapons...... it's available on Youtube. Btw, I've seen this arcade pod in Singapore too!

They need to acquire, reconstruction, and reprogram an interactive flight simulator, the ones that rotate 360 degrees on x, y, and z planes, with an adapted version of this game.
I doubt anybody would have the endurance to move like the Freedom or predecessor uber protagonist piloted gundams, let alone control funnels, bits, DRAGOON, fangs, etc. but it's a cool idea.
@BloodAngel2346 There is something similar to this at Arcade UFO in Austin, TX. I haven't gone there yet but I am only a few hours drive away and my friends cousins live there so hopefully I will get to check it out soon.
It's not economically viable to bring something to a country with not enough fans concentrated in a single area. There are otaku's spread out here and there, but it doesn't serve well enough to place these machines in locals across all 50 states.
I wish that they would, but it's probably not going to happen.
Unfortunately, UC gundam is probably the most popular, so I doubt any other timelines are going to be present in an interactive gundam game.
Now all they have to do is add pin point damage to take out and/or cripple parts on the mobile suits as well as make a game pod that shakes, rotates and spins as if you're really in the suit. Now that would be amazing.

Just incase it hasn't been pointed out - You use both sticks for the movement. Pushing both forwards moves forward, moving only the left forward would turn you clockwise at half speed, while pulling the right back at the same time will turn at 100% speed.
Left stick's top button switches targets left, right stick's right. Left front button for melee, right for main weapon and both together for sub-weapon.

Nope, the Zeong is classed as a mobile suit. It's model number is MSN-02, Mobile Suit for Newtype. And the Rick Dias is a mobile suit with the cockpit in the head. I think.
For all of you wanting someting similar in the US and mentioning Virtual World pods, check the website and see if there are sites in your area. (can't post links, search for Virtual World or Virtual World Entertainment) Those Battletech pods are still out there. And while I admit that the Gundam ones here are beyond cool and are a great bit updated, there's still a ton of fun to be had playing Battletech in the pods around the US.
Good god, I want future PCs to be like this where you walk into a chamber and then the whole interface is entirely around you with all sorts of cool 'future' looking effects and stuff.
Is this anywhere in the USA? I played it in Japan last week and am now addicted. I played Battletech at Virtual world, and I think this game is so much better. It would sell here in the US, especially if they could change the language to english, but still conect with players in Japan. Looking at the video.. Josh ssucked at this game, but it could be motion sickness or having someone video tape you. There is a lot more to it that this Video doesn't show.

I finally plucked up the courage to play this yesterday... Yes, the first minute or so was a bit disorientating and confusing, but I think the controls are really intuitive and you don't really get motion sick.
Man, how cool are they! It feels very disorientating, i felt a bit light headed just watching the video. This has just entered my "things to do before i die" list!!!

Mechwarrior has these same pods... they have been out for at least a decade. Check out Dave and Busters, they all have a set of 4 pods

Played this last time I was in Japan. Pretty kick ass but gave me motion sickness. Although I generally have no problems with FPS's.

Nope, the Zeong is classed as a mobile suit. It's model number is MSN-02, Mobile Suit for Newtype. And the Rick Dias is a mobile suit with the cockpit in the head. I think.

For all of you wanting someting similar in the US and mentioning Virtual World pods, check the website and see if there are sites in your area. (can't post links, search for Virtual World or Virtual World Entertainment) Those Battletech pods are still out there. And while I admit that the Gundam ones here are beyond cool and are a great bit updated, there's still a ton of fun to be had playing Battletech in the pods around the US.

Is this anywhere in the USA? I played it in Japan last week and am now addicted. I played Battletech at Virtual world, and I think this game is so much better. It would sell here in the US, especially if they could change the language to english, but still conect with players in Japan. Looking at the video.. Josh ssucked at this game, but it could be motion sickness or having someone video tape you. There is a lot more to it that this Video doesn't show.

Gundam EZ8, Gundam Ground type, and Gouf Custom are in the game. Gouf Custom>>>>>>>>>>>>Ez8 though.
I use Gouf, Zaku II, Desert Zaku, Zaku I Sniper and Dom mostly.

can anyone please explain here, or point to a faq that explains how to play well? as in, how exactly do you do the triple combo melee attack and the quick draw?

I finally plucked up the courage to play this yesterday... Yes, the first minute or so was a bit disorientating and confusing, but I think the controls are really intuitive and you don't really get motion sick.
