  • Inge Borkh was THE Salome in Munich.

There was a saying among opera singers of her time:

"If you want to sing "Salome", don't go to Munich - Inge Borkh is already there.

  • Awesome!

  • Magnifique ! magnifique ! magnifique !

  • What a beautiful voice and, above all, what a FANTASTIC music!!!

  • SHE ALSO SANG CHENIER WITH TUCKER IN THE EARLY 50's

  • Magnificent voice and interpretation. And glorious music! Thank you!

  • this is a masterpiece both from Gluck's side as a Genius of Dramatic music as well as from Inge's interpretation. And you cant even beggin to imagine how close this is to the spirit of Ancient Greek Tragedy. Gluck was A UNIQUE GENIOUS!

  • Fantastic! Her voice is very penetrating and rounded, it's almost otherwordly in this aria. I didn't know Borkh's interpretation, which turned this music even more dramatic and involving.
