  • Infact fuck it, sorry, but a guy like this just shouldn't be diving this wreck... put the egg back!!!

  • The wreck looks amazing, it's top of my list. Just wanted to ask what's the water temperature and the max depth of the ship? Great video but what's with the manic finning, looks like it's been sped up?! Plus if you keep touching rusting shipwreck metal quite like that you really won't have any hands left after long lol!

  • I didn't meant anything bad he's just don't look good as he should but it's only my opinion

  • Amazing wreck good footage but the diver :-(

  • VIKING DIVERS CENTER - LARNACA CYPRUS

  • Resident Evil brought me here.

  • I dived this wreck a few years ago. was a great dive but please leave the eggs alone as you should all know that once they are gone they are gone. If you liked this one though try the thistlegorm.

  • @prosounduk

Totally agree with you there, people experienced enough to dive to these depths should also know to leave stuff alone for others, good video though.

  • Is is common to see submarines when you go diving? That would spin me out lol

  • Nice video, gives a great sense of scale of the Zenobia. Did my qualifying dives in Cyprus but not dived the Zenobia yet, definitely one on my list..

  • talk about gaugeitis, poor guy narced out of his head. cool video thou

  • is he riding a bicycle only he can see?

  • Is that a nitrox tank on his back? If so, then this guy was risking his life(unless the mix was less than 27% oxygen, but EAN 26 is pretty rare, the common mixes are 32 and 36).

To be safe, you should stay within 1.4 partial pressure of oxygen. EAN 32 has a maxdepth of 33.75m.

He looks pretty comfortable in the water, and not so inexperienced, but his finning technique could use a bit of work.

I've been contacted by a dive op that dives this wreck and may end up instructing there. Stay safe.

  • @kaerius agreed,,he was not on nitrox...far to risky as every one knows or should know.as for the finning i think a little more air in the bcd would of sorted that problem out.cool vid tho and am looking forward to diving this for the 1st time in 2 weeks time.

  • ive dived the zen on several occasions, but always nice to see somone elses videos...

  • Just a bit more info for you as I also live in cyprus and love this wreck!

  • There are Volvos and DAFs, Scanias and Mercs. With a maximum depth of 42m to the sandy sea-bed, the top rail of the wreck is at 18m's. Divers should not swim along the undersides of vehicles, they can weigh more than 40 tonnes and held in place by chains that are losing their strength. All windows of the main superstructure have been broken for some years, since two divers were trapped inside. Divers are advised not to enter the wreck, because much of the internal partitioning has collapsed.

  • The Zenobia was a roll-on, roll-off (Ro-Ro) ferry carrying trucks. More than 100 of these were still shackled in place when she went down. A monster displacing more than 10,000 tonnes, and superficially not unlike the familiar vessels that ply the route between Dover and Calais, the wreck is more than 178m in length, and now lying on its starboard. It is still possible to sit in the cabs of trucks and recognise the remains of some of their cargos.

  • Zenobia's problem lay with the ballast computer which "malfunctioned"; others say the computer was "switched-off" - accidently of course! No matter what story believe, a whole diving industry has been built around this fabulous wreck.

  • that is a cool divesite. i was there as a part of my advanced open wather

  • What was the sub there for? Business or pleasure?

  • OUTSTANDING video! People sometimes don't realize what it takes to do a video at this depth! If you come to the USA, please contact me and I'll introduce you to diving in North Carolina. Keep up the good work!

  • Ok, I get in touch next time I'm in Cyprus. Happy New Year.

  • Next time you come to Cyprus my friend come and dive it with me!! Aloha divers Limassol. Regards and happy new year Phil PADI IDCS 629600 xxxxxx

  • Great videography on a great dive site however the Zenobia sank on her maiden voyage in 1980 not 1981!. Built Nov 1979--Sank June 1980 barely 7 months old. Your first dive was way deeper than thirty meters as you were at 37 meters playing with the bow-breaker.Nice dives but lousy bottom time unless your were on nitrox? Keep it up dude!

  • No dude, Zenobia did not sink on her maiden voyage. Perhaps you're confusing her with the Titanic.

  • Just Google the Zenobia or try Wiki I have over 500 dives on this Wreck I live in CYPRUS.

  • What's written on many websites in respect of Zenobia and her "maiden voyage" appears to be incorrect. I note that you live in the nice island of Cyprus (which I visited 14 times). I live in Sweden. Zenobia was a Swedish ship. Zenobia sunk on voyage from Koper, Yugoslavia to Tartous, Syria. She was built in Malmö, Sweden from where her maiden voyage thus was commenced.

  • Kind of a cool dive, I'm surprised how deep he was going. The first song was a great fit for the clip, but the second song I could care less about.
