maybe. Its takes time for people (like a group, a community) to change. Put someone who lived in the ghetto into the suburbs and they're not going to immediately be a suburban person. There's a great documentary out now called Crip & Bloods: Made in America. It's playing on PBS right now.

It's the best doc I've ever seen on the issue of gangs, or just the devolution of a community by violence. It tells the whole story or how and why LA gangs evolved. Its pretty incredible. All nightmares evolve in little baby steps. Each class of the youth steps things up in the direction they're headed. Its cyclical Even if you take someone out of the storm, that's not the same as healing.
