I love lorikeets, and I think it's wonderful that you're sharing their beauty and wonder with others, especially children. You could have done all that - and more - without a single mention of God, though. Teach them some Ornithology, and let them work out how and if God fits into it on their own.
@trachypithecus He could have but then he wouldn't be teaching them where the beauty came from. Children want all of the answers so he was just trying to give them whatever answers he knew.
they truelly are the most friendly parrot I have ever seen, my first experience with them was on a visit to Sydney, the holiday park where I was staying with my children had a massive avery and they were so friendly, my kids loved them, and what amazed me was even the wild lorikeets proved to be extremely friendly too.

I thoroughly enjoyed this Ken. God was so gracious to give us so many beautiful creatures to enjoy!! I am thinking I might do a painting of these birds. Also, your grandsons are precious!!!
@susanjenkins777 Thank you Susan. Yes it is true that God created such a variety of incredible creatures and one of the reasons was for our pleasure to enjoy, like these Rainbow Lorikeets. It is also interesting to note from Rev 4:11 that God created all things for His own pleasure as well.
This little revelation about God helps me to understand why there are such amazing wonderfully coloured creatures in the deepest depths of the oceans that we haven't even seen yet, or just now finding out.
@KenEdMurray Ken, that is such a neat little thing to know that God also created the creatures for His own pleasure. I love finding out these intimate things about our Father!!!
@susanjenkins777 Yes, it does give an extra insight into the loving nature of God, doesn't it, Susan. He didn't just create creatures to enjoy their own life, but they all give pleasure to God to see them ...as well as the pleasure we have seeing & being with them.
All part of God's purpose, to give us this world, where we have free moral choice to enjoy & do good or to veer & do evil.
Ultimately, God has in His Plan for us to be sons & daughters in His Family.

They're cute, but it's evolution. And for every cute lorikeet there's a tapeworm or an angler fish.

Its amazing how much we can learn about God and His character through looking at the creation (Rom 1:20)
Thanks Ken for this great clip! I wish I could take one home as well!
