@DescentFromHeaven its just scalloped frets, so with a dug out fret board between the frets it takes alot less physical effort to fret your strings and the tone of each note is more even. very common for shred stuff. nonetheless its a great performance

@llss882 Have you actually tried both of them? Given my slight knowledge of both economy picking and tapping I would say this is FAR easier than actually picking the notes. It might look harder but once you own tapping with 4 fingers is easier than playing a piano, you don't have hammer ons and pull offs in piano. Picking on the other hand its harder than piano in the sense that you have to synchronize both hands for one single note unless you do legato. You have to play A LOT faster.
