I bought mine a few months ago, and I decided to open up the pedal a few days ago and I found those fake teeth things (a new one) inside. I thought that was a nice personal touch from Malekko
@intercept77 i wouldn't say fuzz for industrial metal at all. if anything, an ic muff because it cuts through better than any other fuzz. i'd say get a good amp for distortion and tighten it up using an EQ and a boost pedal. even a compressor would be better than a fuzz.
if you have a clean amp, no distortion whatsoever - message me. i'm sure i can push you in the right direction (and no i'm not a salesman. just really passionate about guitars)
a thing of shear beauty. Obviously these guys have warped sense of humour. And notice that the 'sensitivity' knob label has little flowers round it. I have to get one for that alone
The Original maestro BrassMaster is the secret of Chris Squires stereo Rickenbacker bass sound ! It's about time this pedal has been repro-ed for all YES fans...the only unfortunate thing is the original only cost about $50.00 ! ! ! If you are looking for Chris' sound on "Close To The Edge" and "Tales From Topographic Oceans"...this is the Only fuzz that will faithfully recreate his tone...and the Germanium is the exact repro of the Maestro !
Here's a company I have never played around with. How big are these pedals? What a strange fuzz, all those controls and it sounds very similar to a Big Muff. Ahh there we go, at 4:20 it started sounding interesting.
Geeze! Now I can't decide which version I like better. The Germanium is certainly warmer and not as octave up sounding. This might be a better choice for guitar?
He said "ass" a total of eight times. That's not enough ass.

@Z52 Search for "Pink Triangle" on Wikipedia. You'll see why some may find it offensive.

If this pedal is originally for bass, why didn't these people do half the demo with guitar and the other half with a bass?
sunnyboyeden 2 years ago 43
People like a very bassy sounding fuzz for their guitar.
vanillaface93 2 years ago
To show how diverse the pedal is maybe?
And it sounds pretty good with guitar IMO

Is this thing somewhat based off of the univox superfuzz? I'm looking for some kind of clone of it, that I don't have to pay $400 for used.
d00derson 3 years ago
You want the Wattson Super Fuzz.
Pro Guitar Shop sell it and have a demo online here.
It's $200, True Bypass, super sturdy and sounds killer. Plus the two guys that make it are good people.

it's hilarious when he says "germanium assmaster" but tries to keep it kinda straightfaced and professional.
I would definitely giggle if I had to say "ass control" on an instructional video.
Well done vid, though, and killer pedal.

I guess this is better if you're looking for a warmer fuzzy-blanket sound.
