"With a simple pronoun Richard Mullan suggested the all-powerful Supreme Being who is slow to anger and quick to solace at the same time. Jack Richard's music for this song completed the mood. The lofty, melodious song proved ideal for singer Al Hibbler in 1954, and his recording was a bestseller."-Readers Digest: Family Songbook of Faith and Joy
I was only 12 when this song was popular (#4 on Billboard's Top 100 in 1955). I thought it was so beautiful that it made me cry whenever I heard it. Thanks so much for posting this. ♫♥♫

I learned this song when I was in high school (1976). Our religion teacher taught this to us. I have never forgetten this song until today.
Suddenly, yesterday, I sang it out of the blue. Now I found the video. Thank you for uploading and posting this song. God bless everyone!

This song was played at my grandfather's funeral today, not this exact song. It was more Jazzy. Beautifull nonetheless. Brings me to tears.
