I've been designing a houseboat for the past months...
custom made 2 piece (pontoon) catamaran, 1 bed, 1 bath, 1 good sized kitchen/living room, a top deck, riving area, two 115 motors, and a spot to put a jetski on back :)
Looks like the lake is drying up somewhat. Not good for the boat owners. I guess you just put it on dry land for a spell until the rains come again. What do you do with it if the rain doesn't come and fill the lake again? Move it? How?
I need some advice. I am about to embark on building a houseboat from scratch and where it will be situated will mean a logistical nightmare when it needs to come out of the water for the hull to be maintained.Therefore i am looking for the best material to build the hull with to reduce maintenance. A steel hull that is then "sprayed metal" has been suggested. I have also been told that this could last 50 years or more without neding to come out of the water...Any advice would be great....
these people should be made to stand in the middle of their nearest soup kitchen and explain themselves to the poor they find there,..

@shotokan1968 raw material procurement is not at the fault of the american business buyer. gates shouldnt be reprimanded for his company buying silicon for circuits built that were mined by the slave labor as you call it..the fault there should lie with the company selling it and employing the slave labor. secondly, its entirely economical;a dollar there could be as much as 100 dollars,it depends on the cost of living.without exact figures its hard for either of us to make a consistent argument

I have seen plenty of people comfy in their poverty and gov check during my internship. We rob people of their potential by making them comfy in poverty. It is the worst thing we can do to some of these people. The democrats use these people for votes like slaves. @NicolasWhite222 if over the past 40 years average American wages rose on par with property values there wouldn't be a problem with this houseboat. Unfortunately they haven't. In the early 70s the breadwinner in the family made 20k and a new car cost under $3,000. Compare that to now?! I love this country but the political elite, and more so republicans than democrats by far have made it a lot easier for the wealthy to amass more wealth than for a stable middle class. Our middle class is chaotic
