If you have the Rockford Fosgate T2500.1BDCP amplifier for example, these amps adjust for ohm fluctuations in the sub. The CP stands for constant power.

That was such a complete and intense woofer wall socket video. Definitely a youtube first :) It also shows how greatly impedence can affect the wall socket test. Its possible for a very sturdy woofer to fail much sooner than a weaker one in the wall socket vids on youtube just because its impedance at 60Hz might dip for one and be higher for another.
