I agree with the comments regarding who screwed up and why but my question would be why would you ever allow this match to make it on TV? Just put it in the scrap heap and move on. You do more damage by showing this than you do by simply finding a substitute match IMO.

They put themselves, before the product, and in the end, it confused the audience and exposed the business for the first time to some people who undoubtedly picked up on it. I would have just chewed out the ref, however in this case based on what they did, I would have also chewed out Douglas and Roma.
Maybe the didn't hear the bell, or thought the timekeeper messed up? Who knows? Continuing on like they did, it seems really awkward. I would imagine they really didn't know. Of course, the ref trying to count two times again after he counted three and signalled for the bell himself really messed things up. He should've just said, "No guys, I counted 3; the bell rang; it's over."
