Can you check out my video on bear hunting and prospecting (no bears seen) on muskrat411 and check out the black sand in the creek see if it has any potential or is just shale? I subbed your channel.
nice vid mate, you should invest in a pair of waders you will get trench foot wearing trainers, you have to keep your feet dry, hope you find more gold soon keep showing us the vids
Fresh water with cotton balls in it may weigh 8.5 pounds to the gallon, but fine quartz gravel would weigh twice that. I've had basaltic sands that weighed 80 pounds to a partly filled 5 gallon bucket.Thats 20 buckets to the cubic yard. A vibrator plate is great for separating those fine concentrates. Half or more of ALL gold is invisible to the naked eye-which doesent mean its not there. Its all about knowing how to concentrate and separate it. Good luck and happy camping.
We were in Central Va for this one. We were on a restricted claim that you have to have a membership to be on, which is available to everyone. Hopefully our next episode will include exploring the local caves.
Thanks for the video, when is the next one due out and do you prospect near the NC/VA border?

Graham, no pretty girls watching this video. You can lift one bucket at a time out of the creek and save your shoulders:)

I've watched a lot of your videos Graham... I like the fact that you`re out there trying to have fun and prospect...
I do wish you were a little more careful with your material though! I'm betting you lose quite a bit just slooshing everything around like that...
Other than that, good on ya man!
