I really liked this alot. I do wonder, since you restored the #60 and I assume the #30 Becons, ( 5:32 in video) why the reflectors were not painted the original white? Matter of prefernece?
i love collecting kerosene lanterns and torches. i collected them since i was a kid. what is that chimney thing for that is sticking up along side of the lantern in 2:10?

These wick lanterns (and wick lamps) will burn most kinds of light oil. They started out burning whale oil because it was cheap and plentiful. The switch to kerosene started when petroleum became cheaper in the late 1800s. I would guess kerosene is still one of the least expensive light oils today. A vegetable or paraffin may not burn as bright since the design of the burners has been optimized for kerosene.
is at 4:33 a "feuerhand" or what is it?

These are Canadians made at the Toronto plant in 1946 and 1948. Shined up a but but more or less as found and functional, 60 years and going strong
