I have to agree I love Gina and Cyborg but Gina wasn't ready to fight her, I knew she was going to lose. My boyfriend and I noticed how nervous she was before the match and Cyborg was just chillin' ready to fight. I think people got too into Gina's hype and didn't really analyze Cyborg's abilities and strength.
I just can't wait to see a rematch and see how much Gina's changed hopefully she will not be as nervous the second time around.
Her camp (Xtreme Couture) probably doesn't push her like Cyborg's camp. Cyborg was fight ready. I love Gina, but she just wasn't focused and got out worked. I think she was highly intimidated as well. Like Forrest was against Anderson. Once you're in the octagon, it's a totally different thing.
It's ironic how naive some of these Cyborg fans are. None of us know for sure, but I think it's something an objective 3rd party should verify. Frankly, I don't think the MMA organization cares right now, but I suspect they eventually will, if enough people suspect it.

I love Gina she is beautiful and charismatic but her MMa career was somewhat prefabricated; she fought little feisty girls who loked like her little sisters. When she finally fought a real contender you could tell she was a fish out of water, specially after her opponent punched her back,HARD! It still broke my heart watching her tryng very hard not to cry after her loos.

MMA worshipers. I love martial arts just like the next dude but please don't delude yourself. Todays UFC fighters wouldn't stand a chance against ancient roman gladiators. Real street fighting is truly no holds barred .eye gouging, throat chopping, neck breaking, ball stomping, nostril yanking, knives &, guns, etc all to maim or kill. No controlled MMA match will ever compare to real life survival either on the street or in warfare. that being said I wouldn't mess with any UFC fighter either!

The word "arts" shouldn't even be associated with bloody spectacles of this kind. I still think gina's one of the best fighters going for women...! yes there are others out there. even gina has always said so herself...just its not her fault she has had all the limelight. I think people may tend to forget that Gina hadnt fought in almost a year, now that isnt an excuse i agree Gina didnt look herslef in this fight, But i still think she deserves all the credit in the world shes an amazing fighter and one fight doesnt change how good a fighter is. Its just like GSP loosing to Serra he wasnt on his game and i think the same goes for Gina. She is still one of the best strikers in womens mma in my opinion. @ItalianTina personally I wish size and weight didn't matter in MMA, and there were no weight divisions (bring back old UFC). Shows who the toughest bad ass is. However because the commission thinks it doesn't matter, they believe women will never amount to even the lightest of men in MMA. I'm sure women fighters can be male fighters. Problem is the commission doesn't want them to come out with broken lips done by men.

Constrained by the rules of boxing, Gina Carano would be just a punching bag in front of Laila Ali. Cris Cyborg on the other hand would stand a better chance, but it would still be an uphill battle for her. In an mma fight however, Laila would be too unidimentional to compete. She would still stand a chance against Gina.

I have to agree I love Gina and Cyborg but Gina wasn't ready to fight her, I knew she was going to lose. My boyfriend and I noticed how nervous she was before the match and Cyborg was just chillin' ready to fight. I think people got too into Gina's hype and didn't really analyze Cyborg's abilities and strength.
I just can't wait to see a rematch and see how much Gina's changed hopefully she will not be as nervous the second time around.

Her camp (Xtreme Couture) probably doesn't push her like Cyborg's camp. Cyborg was fight ready. I love Gina, but she just wasn't focused and got out worked. I think she was highly intimidated as well. Like Forrest was against Anderson. Once you're in the octagon, it's a totally different thing.
