I installed dopeman's halo 2 crack, and I run the halo 2 xp batch file and it actually opens up halo 2. My problem is when i try to download my account on windows live, it asks for an update and then closes out of game for update and wont update it. I haven't installed the xp activation fix yet though, im about to do that though.

My game will start up and run for a few seconds, in the opening screen, and then a little popup will appear saying "Halo 2 for Windows Vista has encountered a problem and needs to close. for the people having problems on gravemind fix with xp Chuck these two files into your Halo 2 directory and then find the file called "XP PLAY HALO 2". Right click on this file and click edit and the following should appear in notepad: @echo off cls title HALO 2 cls Loader.exe halo2.exe cls echo Just change it to the following: @echo off cls title HALO 2 cls Loaderplus.exe halo2.exe cls echo And then run the game like normal. It'll do a few things differently but it'll work.

@florintheps3boy Thanks for the feedback dude. Um, what you will need to do is create an Offline Games For Windows Live Account. When you launch Halo 2, press the 'Home' Button on your keyboard and create an offline account. This will allow you to save your game :)

@TheNewJorgibous It's going to be very hard to get multiplayer to work and I think it's near impossible, mainly because Halo 2 uses a type of online which is very hard to crack for XP use. If it was on Vista or Windows 7, it wouldn't be as challenging. Sorry for the bad info, but good that you got it working :)

Having an issue getting mine working. When I click the Batch file (after installing everything in the INSTALL THESE FIRST folder) the game boots up and I see the halo logo and the light sweep across 1/16 of it ... then it goes black and goes back to my desktop.
