I bought the LG Flatron W2242T, it was very bright and the colors looked vivid for about a week.

Now the image looks dim and bland looking.

Hell, for $190 one shouldn't expect much.

@magnetes I would be impressed to if I never owned a high end ips monitor. Go look at a apple display. All of them are ips. See how much better they look in the store than double that when you get home and spend a few hours with it on your own time.

They are very bright thats all. It depends on what you use the monitor for..

a friend of mine has a apple and i have used it many times,not impressed at all.!! My eyes can pick all the detailes, and i see that the ips monitor hides little detailes with the brightness. I have tested that with pictures and videos.

@magnetes Ips technology does not affect brightness what so ever. As a matter of fact my IPS monitor is rated at a brightness of 450 cd/m2 the highest I've ever seen in a 20" monitor. Make sure your not looking at the older apple non ips ones. Nothing special there. Plus apples new ones get wayyyyyy bright. I believe they are rated at 330 which is brighter than average, if turned up in properties.

Don't buy LG LCDS they are cheap and nasty and after a while will start to display ugly green pixles all over the screen instead of black pixles. Their warranty services will keep canceling on you making it very hard to get a refund or repair!

Its really up to what you like. I like the mamba because it matches the lycosa really nicely. But comfortable-nis is top priority. I have not used the g9 but I have used the mamba and I would recomend it to anyone who is going to buy a gaming mouse. The only bad thing is the price of the mamba. Again its up to you to choose and which one you perfer. I hope this helps. : )

HDMI and DVI use the same video format for output. HDMI is only used for TVs as SOUND needs to be transmitted to them aswell.

So, you're right, you don't need it for a PC monitor - seeing as you have an actual sound card in your system ;)

i have the LG flatron 22" version, great monitor i love it, however it has that slightly greesy look when the colour white is on the screen. its like when you wipe the screen of your ipod with your thumb. kinda annoying but u forget about it.

Depends, are you looking for 5.1? If you are, I can easily recommend the Logitech x-540 set. I had them before my current Z-5500 set and they were great. Great sound for music and games, pretty loud, lots of bass, and you can get them for about $60 USD
