Oh man... I went on a road trip to a punk show with some friends when we were about 16 or so. Only one of us had a car and it was an absolute beater. Anyway, long story short, we blew the rad about a third of the way to our destination, and one of our more... er... mechanically inclined friends suggested we use the egg trick Lee mentioned. Didn't work... and both the car and breakfast were ruined.
