Hi I have a question. I have a airbrush, so if I buy a black or white vallejo paint instead of a expensive GW spray can and use my airbrush to undercoat my models will it work the same way? thanks.
Awesome paintjob!!! Im just starting up a tyranid army myself, i think im going to paint it behemoth, but im just wondering should i dilute the paints or is it ok if i paint just straight from the tube
hey les just wondering if you have any advice on an airbrush to buy, for someone whose never used one, and possibly advice on a fairly cheap one as well? thanx
can someone post a vid of how to make a good tyranid army like 1500 points because there is no videos of that at all and it would get a shitload of views
i dont play or really collect nids but dammit if they are hella fun to paint, very nice details with airbrush, im stuck with just a good old paint brush :P
Les this is so amazing!! was wondering what your using to hold the model?? also how you get a good consistency with you paint?? i always find im either too thick or thin for the airbrush??
awesome vid. what was it he dripped into the mixed paints there? looks like I might have to check out some other paint retailers aside from GW. that looks a million times easier to mix and manage, not to mention the fact that it won't dry out as easily. I live in norway , anyone know of any online stores that might carry this over here?
yeah the Dropper bottles have their pros and cons.. dont' forget every drop is as small as U can get... (that is U can't just dip the tip of a brush to get a tiny bit of paint) Aside from that they are a good method of keeping/dispensing paint I agree.
I Think the drips in the mix are slow dry or windex - to keep the paints wet for longer. Not sure is heavily diluted washing up liquid can do the same. Maybe.
I really want to try out airbrushing now but since I'm going to be collecting SPESS MEHREENS I don't think it will be worth it unstil I start collecting vehicles.
Awesome job! Can't wait for part 2. What did you use for diluting paints? I have small problem with that. When I dilute shadow, normal and highlight with water, usually the last paint is dry before I finish first two.
@flagoon I dilute with Windex in the video. If you have problems with the mixes drying too fast use a wet palette and/or Liquitex Slo-Dry or some other band of drying retarder.
@Kanvass1 pausing at 3:28 says (APJ Dark Sepia - GW Devlan Mud) I do not carry GW paints but include them in the tutorial to help the people that DO have them. So what was ACTUALLY used was the APJ Dark Sepia Wash.
Awesome job¡¡
