  • Is there an alternative from using an airbrush, because there expensive!

  • @21jack12345 An hell load of practicing :D

  • how easy is it to use an airbrush?

  • the turquoise looks like enchanted blue, is is really that bright?

  • is it okay to use acrylic paints or should i get normal paints like from game workshop?

  • What are you using to hold the base with?

  • Hi I have a question. I have a airbrush, so if I buy a black or white vallejo paint instead of a expensive GW spray can and use my airbrush to undercoat my models will it work the same way? thanks.

  • too bad colour schemes dont look that good when i try to copy people...

  • is there any alternative if you dont have an airbrush?

  • How are the details of the model affected by airbrushing so many layers?

  • u know what? i have an airbrush that i have never used. you just inspired me to break it out of the box :)

  • what is the best way to paint a fig wen its compleet or

    wen its not asembelt

    srry for bad engles

  • @dennispauwels do it in some small sub assemblies, e.g. body+legs, head, arms nd weapon.

  • ur goofyhanded!

  • 1 word AMAZING!

  • IT'S THE ZERG!!!

  • @Extremehalofan14 no, it's the tyranids

  • @Extremehalofan14 This is where Blizzard Entertainment got the inspiration for the Zerg race, but it isnt the zerg.

  • i dont have an airbrush.. can i just paint my genestealers/hormagaunts (not sure which ones im gunna get) with my brushes?

  • what type of airbrush is that?? i mean 0.7 or 0.3 mm??

i wanna buy one airbrush but i dont know which cuz im a noobie on this .

    thanks in advance

  • Awesome paintjob!!! Im just starting up a tyranid army myself, i think im going to paint it behemoth, but im just wondering should i dilute the paints or is it ok if i paint just straight from the tube

  • hey les just wondering if you have any advice on an airbrush to buy, for someone whose never used one, and possibly advice on a fairly cheap one as well? thanx

  • hat compressor do you use? I have an airbrush I already want but the compressors are confusing.

  • Want to start Nids now!!

  • can someone post a vid of how to make a good tyranid army like 1500 points because there is no videos of that at all and it would get a shitload of views

  • why was it all red at the start?

  • @MrDreamblade Probably painted over from an old tutorial.

  • i dont play or really collect nids but dammit if they are hella fun to paint, very nice details with airbrush, im stuck with just a good old paint brush :P

  • Can you dry brush instead of airbrush?

  • another awesome job ( i watched all )

    U got talent dude

  • Les this is so amazing!! was wondering what your using to hold the model?? also how you get a good consistency with you paint?? i always find im either too thick or thin for the airbrush??

  • Les, what compressor are you using, and what PSI do you have it set to for this kind of work?

Cheers -- you are such an inspiration, by the way.

  • @Thracy11 Paasche D500 s my compressor and I usually work @ 20psi

  • Thanks for the Reply! You're a champ!

  • were can you get a airbrush?

  • u can get one at any games workshop. the ones in the Netherlands are in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. or any hobby store will do

  • It is time to practise with my Iwata CS now. Airbrush is great to add some nice color blendings for bigger figures.

  • do you use a lot of paint with the air brush? where did you buy it, it looks really useful

  • It's great to see the airbrush finally being accepted by the gaming community. Scale modelers have been using them for 50+ years!!!

  • Oh great job Less by the way - forgot to mention that :)

The more I see U used the air brush that more comfortable I feel about using my 1 (which is srill boxed for almost a year now! Lol )

  • Very nice work as always Man I will be using some of your Ideas when I go to paint my Keeper of Secrets from forgeworld

  • this seires is epic man one and two so far and well i love the skill set shown in this !

  • awesome vid. what was it he dripped into the mixed paints there? looks like I might have to check out some other paint retailers aside from GW. that looks a million times easier to mix and manage, not to mention the fact that it won't dry out as easily. I live in norway , anyone know of any online stores that might carry this over here?

  • I think it is vallejo paints he is using. they come in a dropper. I think the full name is vallejo color.

  • yeah the Dropper bottles have their pros and cons.. dont' forget every drop is as small as U can get... (that is U can't just dip the tip of a brush to get a tiny bit of paint) Aside from that they are a good method of keeping/dispensing paint I agree.

I Think the drips in the mix are slow dry or windex - to keep the paints wet for longer. Not sure is heavily diluted washing up liquid can do the same. Maybe.

  • Another great vid Les, wish you had more time so you could get more of these videos done. :P

  • Les you have floored me yet again. I am amazed at how much the air brush can cange the look of the whole model. I want to go get an airbrush today.

  • @jeremiahdrigg -just what I was thinking!

  • that's some inspiring skills laid down right there, love your work. 'have a good one'

  • Thats really awesome mate.

  • Are there some high-res photos of the final result somewhere? (Warseer, CMON or something?)

  • @InsertDisk2 The model is still in progress but there will be pictures at the end for sure.

  • Ahh, okay. I wouldn't mind WIP shots either.

  • did u get a reply on BOW once?

  • @TheWolfBearProject Yeah, because I suck at grasping the concept of Wound Allocation.

  • so did i on my other account :P i asked about the monolith line of site. :P

  • How much will one of those air brush kits set you back? cost i mean

  • @cjstemplar about $200 for entry level airbrush and compressor. Check TCP Global for deals.

  • I really want to try out airbrushing now but since I'm going to be collecting SPESS MEHREENS I don't think it will be worth it unstil I start collecting vehicles.

  • that is cool

  • Awesome job! Can't wait for part 2. What did you use for diluting paints? I have small problem with that. When I dilute shadow, normal and highlight with water, usually the last paint is dry before I finish first two.

  • @flagoon I dilute with Windex in the video. If you have problems with the mixes drying too fast use a wet palette and/or Liquitex Slo-Dry or some other band of drying retarder.

  • I hope any window cleaner will do the trick. I'll try it today. I also bought Reaper drying retarded today. Thanks for fast replay.

  • brush crons ^^

  • Comment removed

  • nice work :)

  • which color wash did you use to tone down the overspray ?

  • @Kanvass1 pausing at 3:28 says (APJ Dark Sepia - GW Devlan Mud) I do not carry GW paints but include them in the tutorial to help the people that DO have them. So what was ACTUALLY used was the APJ Dark Sepia Wash.

  • We all know a real man uses a real brush :p

    JK

  • omg i realy wanna start a nid army....... =( I JUST STARTED A TAU ONE THOUGH

  • ok Les, you finaly convinced me to buy airbrush colours and try this out :)

  • @GirlPainting Yay! I hoped you would come to the dark side :)

  • @linkinhearts666 ya i really want to test out airbrushing it turns out really good looking to my eyes
