also the cheetah is native to Africa and the middle east. the leopard is native to Africa and Asia. They wouldn't import a breed of cat from Africa when they have native breeds already there.
no matter what the person told you, it should be obvious that it is not a tiger. nor is it a cheetah. cheetahs have this fuzzy mohawk that continues down the back they also have smaller spots with much more space between them. this is obviously a leopard.
its a leopard seriously all the people with sense say its a leopard adn yet there are some dumb people who still need to say they think it might be all these other cats wtf?????
It's a baby leopard. Baby cheetahs would have tufts of hair running down their backs and be much slimmer. Tigers have stripes. They're the only wild cats with stripes.
K let's settle the debate once and for all. I'm a zoologist from the University of San Diego & I do a ton of research for the San Diego Zoo. This is clearly a baby rhinoceros. Although his rounded mouth indicates that he may have some hippopotamus in his ancestry.
Geez people. It's really cute to see and hold wild animals ...but where is the baby's mother? Does anyone ever think of how they get these animals in order to exploit them and make a really cute picture for our amusement? :-( More than likely , they killed the mother to have their "business" of making money off tourists who don't know any better. For God's sake , I wish people would stop and think.
@Duma39 I like how you assume people killed the mother to steal the baby, rather than thinking of a natural reason for the mother's absence... Maybe the mother abandoned the baby, or maybe she was killed by another animal... Maybe she's sitting 10 feet away happily watching her baby being fed. I wish you would think a little before you assume.
hey guys... I just talked with friend who has worked at some zoo in the past and we decided that it's a mix breed between a cheetah and leopard. They live in the same area, they are both cats.
@ksatia are you 110% sure??? I had two adorable cats growing up (Leroy and Ollie) so I consider myself an expert as well. Sometimes even experts can disagree!!
@rawbbbbbb lol i can't tell if you're being serious. cats as in large cats or as in domestic house cats? i can assure you, with 110% certainty, that is a leopard. not a jaguar. not a cheetah. not a tiger. a leopard.
This is a leopard cub. Not a cheetah, tiger or any other species. I've worked several hundred hours around various species of big cats and can tell the difference quite easily.
Secondly, feeding the cat on it's back like that is a really good way to kill it - the cat should be feet pointing down cradled in the keepers arm, with a hand supporting the chest just below the cats throat. The only thing they got right was the angle of the bottle.
lol yeah, as everyone else said, that's a leopard. for starters, cheetahs are indigenous to Africa. and like they've already said, cheetahs have two lines going down the front of their face and they have spots (not circle-like spots)
Cheetah then tiger? U high?? Its a fucking jaguar
