After watching Top Gun so many young men went to their local Naval recruiting office thinking if they signed up they'd become fighter pilots & get a girl like Kelly McGillis--not! This movie is so unrealistic & when I saw it for the first time I was really annoyed but now I really like it for some reason.

It always amazed me at how those Navy pilots could fly in such formation while banking at high speeds and while so close to the deck without taking each other out. Only 2 things would top that day 1)Going up in an Navy jet w/a great pilot and/or 2) skydiving.

A new elite breed of Top Gun are on a nationwide training exercise when corrupt leaders within the US decide to take the exercise into real life by creating fake terrorist acts. The corrupt leaders then use the false flag operation to consolidate power and pass unlawful laws against the citizens. The Top Gun then is sent to the middle east. That's the plot.
