I always loved this song. But now that I'm listening to it today, I realized it's a complete rip off of Chery Lynn's Star love. Seriously....look it up. It's in a different key with different words but its almost identical.
@showguyusa It is a rip off. The producer of the movie actually had this, "I Will Survive," "Dancer", and "Born to Be Alive" in the movie. But when they couldn't afford the rights to use the songs, he had Paul Zaza copy the song as close to the original.
@VFDSCVBHTY Only the songs from Blue Bazar and "Fade to Black" by Gordean Simpson was credited; I believe the rest of the songs from the soundtrack were performed by studio singers.
The album is listed by Paul Zaza and Carl Zittrer, so that's all we get!!!
@VFDSCVBHTY Studio singers performed the album, with the exception of Blue Bazar's "Forever", "All is Gone", and "Fade to Black" by Gordean Simpson. Paul Zaza and Carl Zitter are credited for the soundtrack!
@crackerHero It's funny, because only the songs from the prom itself were on the soundtrack, along with the Blue Bazar stuff. All the scary cues and other tracks from the movie were never put out for release. Sad!
This is the cheesiest song I think I ever heard in a horror movie....and I absolutely LOVE it. It's a bitch to track down though. Please, if anyone has an mp3 file of this, let me know, I REALLY would love it.

the PROM NIGHT theme is being used in the new movie CABIN FEVER 2..i just watched it and was suprised to hear it..the exact same song , used on the kids prom night in the movie..
Well this is my fav moive all time and i love this song and whene they dacne with this song i love it.I try dacne with this song it was so hard.I love this Song forever
Yea only a few copies were made because they STOLE this song . They did not have permision to use it ! Remember Star love in the night " It's the same song they ripped it off and got in big trouble!!
Whoa...hold up...the people behind Prom Night got in trouble because they used this cheesy disco song? Why didn't they just ask for permission? Or...did they create a new song with new lyrics, but the exact same "sound" and melody as another song? I'm confused. I love this song, anyway!
If anyone out there has this song in mp3 format could you please please please send it me. I am finding it difficult to find this song, let alone the album.
This song is so bitchin'!! Loved the way it was used in the movie. It's got some psychedelic proto-x freakout keyboard going on too!! I bet the singer must have been hot also.....
i have LOVE ME TIL I DIE, but it is not the original version that is used in the film. im looking for the version that is used in the film where they dance at the prom.
I buy PLAYBOY Magazine for the text ARTICLES. I watch Horror movie with Scantly clad women being killed and high body counts..for the MUSICAL SOUNDTRACKS....You all believe me.. right?
I would buy the soundtrack man. Love me Till I Die is a creepy and stylistic song when used in the movie. Where the song is used in Prom Night makes it stylized. I wish they made more horror movies from the soul rather than from the body count. Body count is awesome, but now in the age of CGI it becomes just another SCI FI channel/ TNT horror flick. It becomes just another movie.
Mr. Ravenicus I was just being sacastic with those dummies who post here. They are full embracing the song "Love me til I die??" without one word toward all the sexy fear, beautiful dresses, and the high body count of beautiful ladies. It like they are 100% denial of the sexual overtones contain in the violent action of this movie. I call it like I see it. I LIKE the song, I want a copy, but I also like to see the ladies get it the movie too. After all that is why the producers made it.
@silkmann I know it has been a year since this post and I am truly sorry for not replying. I think what I was getting at was the character development in the film. You feel for Jamie Lee Curtis' character, on the other hand you can also feel for Anne Marie Martin's character Wendy. In retrospect Jamie Lee Curtis could be considered the villain. Love Me Till I Die could be considered Wendy'sdeath song. In Prom Night part 2 there's an distraught chime in under the lyrics Everything is alright.
That's why people need to give recognition to Paranormal Activity and Blair Witch Project. They don't rely on gore and body count tactics. They rely straight on the suspense and psychological horror. You know...TRUE horror.

My father is Paul Zaza. He wrote this and the soundtrack to Prom Night.
I guess I could be upset that you posted this as it counts as money that could be used in my university education, but I'm just happy to hear people are fans.
GO buy the soundtrack. And some other good ones by him. IMDB him.
the song is awesome in everyway. The movie was good TOO! They don't make real horrors anymore. These days it is played out for real in the white house.
