  • This is beautiful man! I really want this track? Where can I pick it up at?

  • What is the name of the controller in front of the screen?

  • lets start the battle!

    watch?v=IaHWmyC2pjo

  • Fantasic !!!

  • Not bad..........

  • This is good Stephen.

    I too am Stephen. Langham.

    Anyways.

Very nice style. I would love to hear this blasting at a club in Florida-USA.

  • cool! good job!

  • Nice! Clean clean mix. You should upload it so we can all take it with us!

  • The collaboration is excellent. I would have taken the kick loop from New Order's Blue Monday and place the guitar riff on top slightly panning with a filter delay.

    Cheers from Canada!

  • lovin the Floyd touchz!

  • even though I am not necessarily an electro or Dire Straits fan -- this video rocks - you deserve a medal mate - well done :)

  • great video, and a good remix

  • The sample you say is from Prodigy is actually a sample from the Art of Noise and a track called close to the edit from about 1984 if I remember correctly.

    They were pioneers of sampling.

By the way..real nice work..am getting my head around NI Maschine at the moment.

  • @bobwebb114 There's actually samples from a few different bands that Prodigy used there, in many cases Prodigy has used almost 100% samples for their tracks. If I'd said it was Dire Straits vs Art of Noise I don't think anyone would know what I was talking about.

  • @stephencgregory that and saying 'Dire Straits vs Justin Beiber would probably get you massive hits on this video but looks like a few crept in, lmao...

God I hate that little punk. ;)

  • This just mind fucks you :P Thums up!

  • is there a downloadable copy?

  • Need more videos please!!! I am learning alot from your techniques keep them coming!!!!!

  • Excellent man!!

  • Awesome remix man! I hope to learn how to use my APC40 someday ahha

  • The Prodigy Forever! :D

Nice track man. I think you should warp the Firestarter smaples, because they don't really fit with the rest, and change a bit their pitch.

    I liked it ;)

  • BRill

  • Great mix. I personally loved how you ended it. :)

  • How the heck do you EQ vocals? Anyone?3

  • @Vayner11 bandpass filter high-pass and low-pass. duh. :-)

  • this is so fucking awesome

  • First - Strada mea

  • that is sick! i want a mixer sooo bad

  • great until u put in the prodigy.

  • this is lush. you should share the project file

  • Is it possible to get this as a mp3? I play out some big parties and would love to drop this...

  • the bassline and the guitar arn't in the same key

  • Oh my god "thats the funky shit" lol

  • Great! Love Ableton Live, love apc40 and finaly: I love your video!!!

  • 2:40-2:50ish get the stroboscope going

  • I liked it!

    Fun!

  • The "Hey Hey Hey" is from Art of Noise and then the Prodigy sampled

  • Too busy mate! less is more.

  • good effort nice equipment u got

  • sweet as excellent.

  • how do you get that back and forth bass line sound that comes in at 1:07? I've heard emalkay using that a lot, but i'm new to electronic music so i don't really know how it works. thanks :)

  • @HunterDay10 It's a sidechain compressed bass, where the kick drum is the input to the sidechain input of the compressor - effectively causing the bass to be 'ducked'. In this case the ducking is done via the sample itself, but if you wanted to make the effect on your own bassline that's how to do it.

  • @stephencgregory That actually sounds like an lfo on the filter...

  • @stephencgregory I wonder if this is how digital Underground gets the weird pump bass thing in the Humpty track. Check out Digital Underground, stuff is totally unique and great, real art from masters. They sure are good. I'll send you $5. and an armadillo if you remix a Digital Underground track.

  • You are quite amazing at Fucking up great songs and turning them into awesome Electro-mixes...

    Im impressed.

Its like a hate love thing.

By the way, Im a guitarist...

  • @Doddus Haha, thanks man :)

  • Great! I like your mixes & sense of humor in presenting them.

Ironic this song about "wish I'd learned to play guitar... " etc and here you are, pushing buttons! Do you wish you'd learned? Haha!

Kudos to the guy who made the connection with "Are you Being Served?"

  • what song is that from at 1:49 when you drop that beat?

  • @kineticrave25 Not sure if this reply came through - , it's called BP_Electro_130bom_C_1. It's from the Loopmasters samples that come with Live and it's under the bass loops/electro folder.

  • SO BAD ASS love it

  • nice work bro! mines is in the post...

  • oh god i wanna get into mixing music now...how much did that cost? and im sorry to the person who will negative this post im just trying to learn more....

  • Holy crap that was awesome

  • very very cool, not all of it was my cup of tea, but you showed a great example of how powerful (and smooth) the apc40 can be. Keep em coming!

  • absolutely fantastic

  • you shud b proud of urself mate. Powerful mix. how long u been using this

  • Thanks :) I've had two or three weeks I think. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep these ones up for, as I'm a bit unsure on the legalities of using those samples!

  • If you put in the description " I am using these samples under assumption of the fair use act"...you should be ok. I actually got one of my videos featured and it contained samples from M.I.A - paper planes. its now got ads on it (which i get no revenue for because Im not a partner)

  • Very enjoyable mix with great recognisable tunes. Good job mate!!

  • Sweet!!!!! When do you tour?!?!? Dibs front-center!
