It is amusing that "God is dead" is often interpreted as a spiteful remark intended to upset religious folk.
The point, I think, of "God is dead" is that God has no use or meaning in modern society/culture and so God will become more and more irrelevant and incompabitble in respect to people's lives.
Whereas Nietzsche, on the otherhand, is extremely relevant today as he points out the threat of nihilism (lack of value/meaning) in people's lives following the death of God.

It is amusing that "God is dead" is often interpreted as a spiteful remark intended to upset religious folk.
The point, I think, of "God is dead" is that God has no use or meaning in modern society/culture and so God will become more and more irrelevant and incompabitble in respect to people's lives.
Whereas Nietzsche, on the otherhand, is extremely relevant today as he points out the threat of nihilism (lack of value/meaning) in people's lives following the death of God.

Actually God was dead at one point, when he came down to earth as Jesus Christ to teach us love and to save us from sin. Now He lives on in all of us and one day he will return to free us from Satan once and for all.

When He said "G-d is dead" he said christians didn't act like they worshiped something that lived. Because f their actions. Their hipocresys, they didn't live what they talked about. So, it's like they were like zombies in thsi world, being worse than those who didn't have a religion. This thing they called "god", not my "G-d" caused a very bad impact on civilization. If G-d is good and love why should the world suck? Because christians have killed in the name of G-d for a thousand years. That's what He is talking about, he's not defending atheism in this sense. I will give you and exemple, the jewish bible says we are Derech HaShem "the mirror of G-d". We represent G-d on earth. Christians say that to be a Christian you need to imitate Jesus. But Nietzsche was not like you baby, he trasnlated the Bible from latin to German at age 14.

That is paradox itself doubting one's one existence. Doubting your own existence proves you do exist. I feel no remorse from offending you previously. Religion is the cause for nearly all wars and has caused the world to lack a in depth study of science. The catholic church banned scientific teachings during the middle ages yet we could have been far more advanced as a world if religion didn't oppress scientific teachings.
