my mother used to work as a debt collector. there are collection laws in canada that alot of collectors dont follow. i had one calling me daily. she would yell on the phone and when i asked for her collectors license number she refused to give it. which is against the law. also i had an account with rogers they sent me to collections for something i didnt owe. i called rogers and they now even say i dont owe anything. try to get global to remove there name from your credit. lazy bastards

if you dont pay your bill someone will call. They are just doing their job and all of you that hate it are just mad because they call you for a reason, you dont pay your bills! Maybe if you payed them you wouldnt receive calls... DAH!

@300450533 exactly.... these debtors are fucking retarded and get upset with the wrong people as if collection officers were to blame for THEM 'trying' to ball out on credit..... the dumb fucks. The problem is in Canada, there are ALOT of un-educated people, no lie. They don't understand credit, and will just use cards recklessly. Some people less than a grade 8 education in alot of parts across Canada.

Hahaha! Let 'em keep calling. Fuck credit collectors! I would never pay those sharks! According to many things I have researched on the web, collectors who are in a different state than yours cannot sue you. Even if a collector in your state tries to sue you, you can dispute that debt in court, and the chances are that your debt has been sold so many times that they can't come up with any specific charges you "may have" made. If that happens, then their case would get thrown out of court. ;-)
