  • Wont get my face in that fucking silk

  • really!!! i just cant believe their webs are FUCKING 2 METERS BIG!!!

    (6.5 FEET!)

i want too see this spider in real life but im really glad they dont live in belgium!

  • they're so manny spiders like this in the philippines..

  • @47lionking manny? learn to spell

  • @frat289 typo error lng many isang n lng yn..

  • Her web is absolutely beautiful! One of the biggest I've seen of this species.

  • I dare u to run into the spider's web =D

  • Not only are these spiders harmless, they're also pretty chilled out. You can walk up and pet them on the abdomen and they don't really freak out. On the off chance that one did happen to bite you, and you'd have to be picking it up and putting on your skin to accomplish that, it wouldn't be worse than a beesting (unless you had an allergy).

  • lol i actually had one of these in my back yard when i was a kid. its web was massive! me and my brother would throw bugs in its web and feed it. we named it "Fucker" haha it was legit, pretty sure a bird got it though =(

  • These spiders come out in force around summer time here in Southern Mississippi. They are big but spin beautiful webs. The only time I mind them is when I manage to walk into one of their webs.I've always called them "Charlotte Spiders" because of their webs.

  • its like the spiders from legend of zelda

  • @irGawd777

'Skulltullas' look more like Argiopes than Nephilia

  • That's one huge web. I wonder how much in diameter that one must've been.

  • @magicquartz I've seen some next to my house that are an easy 3 feet across. The largest one I saw was almost 4.5 feet across ( I measured). They are quite amazing creatures to be able to spin a web so large.

  • @jrobmccoy

I often wondered how a creature with such a tiny brain could make something so cemetrical and so perfect. I'm usually arachniphobic but these things do fascinate me.

  • @jrobmccoy

You're right they are amazing. I enjoyed watching the spider spin the web, despite my moderate arachniphobia. It makes a person wonder how such a tiny creature can produce such a large amount of silk at one time. I wonder if they ever run out of silk...

  • i think Spider is the most patient living on Earth, They sit in the middle of the web doing nothing but waiting. sometimes after a month it's still there.

  • i wouldn't touch it for a million.

  • @YouWantzomeofthis for a million I bet you would!

  • Eine der wenigen Spinnen die ihr Opfer erst töten und dann in ihr Netz einwickeln und in ihren "Bau" schleppen.

  • very pretty spider. i love the way the banana spiders legs sit!

  • Fuck these, almost walked into a giant web with a GIANT fucking spider just like this one when I was in Thailand.

  • OMG i would like to know the dimater of her web oO looks huge

  • Gosh, these spiders are beautiful... I'm in the Nor Cal area. How can I find one that I can see in real life?

  • These spiders are actually quite friendly.

  • first i was fascinated, then when it showed the web i was terrified.

  • that thing is CREEPY!!

  • There are a lot of them in my grandmother's backyard in Grecia, Costa Rica. I did research about scientific name and after googling, got to this awesome video. I got a female the size of my hand, but there were like 5 males around her.

  • my sister (23 at the time) is terrified of spiders. About 4 of these full grown live on the outside of her bedroom window. She didn't know they where there and I was going to tell her about it because I didnt want her to get upset. Well she royaly pissed me off so I told her to move the blanket covering her window and look outside. yea she absolutely lost it I mean cried had a panic attack and everything :) sweet revenge

  • That shot at 1:48 is fantastic. I wish I had these up in my area.

  • These things were everywhere I grew up and I ran into one on its web running through the bushes. They are so freaky.

  • O.O

    OMG! Kill it with fire!

And if the fire doesn't work... Nuke it from the orbit!

  • brillant video man i have a pet tarantula named terry im not scared of any spiders lol i let my tarantula crawl on me

  • O.O

    I'm fucking scared of spiders.

  • @1234563mantris cool spiders arn't scary to me but their just annoying they be messing with me while i play my video games but this spider is a cool one it can spin golden webs fasinating creatures of like id like to say.

  • happened onto this website, as per usual, by looking at something else.got lucky didnt i. i am fascinated by them, and have this fear of them, but its not like i am scared, i just love to watch them weaving their webs, which ive been lucky enough to do, as a garden spider comes back each year to build his web just beyond my balcony. its anchored to the railing. they are amazing, and how strong the web is, they are the engineers of the insect and arachnid world. thanks for posting.

  • this one looks so gorgeous, i would be so happy to see this one in real life, i love spiders :D

  • I love spiders too I have a pet tarantula named terry :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • okay, this is the scariest looking spider i have ever seen. I'd freak out if i saw this one in real life, but it IS fascinating.

  • Most people would freak out if they saw a big spider like this, but they're really harmless to people and very interesting! Their silk is used in the medical field to repair human nerve tissue, how cool!

    Thanks for watching.

  • @wildstar1 ...hey, but you support the scary image with that scary soundtrack you play XD how mean . . .

  • @rgur90x LOL, its funny cause i have tons of these right outside my windows, and i live in a 2 tory house.

i live inn panama tho, thats y, cause its the tropics.

  • hey wildstar1 ... is nephila venomuos?

  • Hi! Yes, but it's very mild and no more potent than a bee sting to humans.

    Thanks for watching & asking.:)

  • I LOVE these spiders. Just love them! They're getting really established in our area. I could spend hours watching them. And thanks for pointing out that they're not dangerous. I've had them walk all over me and they are so placid.

  • Hi, thanks for watching! they are one of my favorites for sure.:)

  • I love these spiders, wanna see they in my real life. :( (I'm from Germany)

  • Greetings form the states! They are a tropical species, you're a little too cold for them to survive there.:(

Thanks for watching, you can see plenty of them on mu channel though.:)

  • beautifully evil looking spider in one hell of a web.

  • lol, Looks can be decieving. These spiders are beautiful and harmless for the most part.

    Thanks for watching!

  • elles sont méchantes ces areignées?

en tout ces elles font peur

  • I'm sorry, I wish I knew the language so I could reply.:)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Just a beautiful spider! those colors are amazing! I have the deepest phobia of webs like that though and that thing is ungodly huge o_o.

I heard from someone that they're extremely poisonous, even deadly. not true though eh?

  • This species is one of the most beautiful of spiders and they do have large webs. This particular species, sometimes called the "Bananna Spider" is harmless. There's one species from Brazil, also called Bananna Spider that's extremely deadly to humans though.:(

    Thanks for watching.:)

  • Really nice video!

I gotta ask though, since I don't have this species in my area; you mentioned blundering into a few webs? How strong is that? Just breaks or-?

    Anyway, wicked awesome.

  • Thanks for watching and nice comment. To answer your question, it's pretty strong. I know kevlar is made from it. Also has a good bit of elasticity, dosen't break to easily.

Hope that helped.:) Happy new year!

  • nice video dude! is the web of that spiders realy strong ? i love spiders! specially the ones in webes:) my fav is funnelweb spider that thing has so scary web! sometimes i have nightmares of that spider holes lol.. peace bro

  • Hi! Yes, the golden silks "silk" is one of the strongest. They make kevlar from this stuff. I like spiders alot. I feel they deserve a better reputation than they have. I'll have more video of them soon, thanks for watching!

    Peace.

  • The largest female I've seen was pretty big. I would guess she'd be 2 inches in length (body). Not counting the legs. With legs, add another couple of inches. I haven't seen as many this year. Maybe the heat?

    Thanks for watching.:)

  • Wow, beautiful spider, but holy crap I wouldn't wanna run into that web! I've never seen one like that before, thanks for sharing. :)

  • lol. I've run into many while out filming in the swamps. Messy a bit, the spiders will rebuild them in no time.:) They're harmless to people. Bite is no worse than a little sting.

    Thanks for watching!

  • lol, no problem, I'll tell you. It's not the most expensive one, but it's a good camera for what I do. Around four hundred bucks will get one similar.

  • Really a beauty.

  • Thanks! I have more footage of these spiders actually mating I hope to post soon.

I appreciate you watching as always.:)

  • It's a pro-sumer model. Don't want to advertise for them, but the brand starts with a C and ends with an N. The model is a S3IS "powershot" w/12xzoom and great movie mode. Great for nature and outdoor events!

  • I'll tell you one thing, you have an excellent camera. This is such a clear image of a beautiful Spider. One day I'm going to get a good Camera and film some great stuff like you, until then I'll just watch. Thank You.

  • Thanks, they're one of my favorite species! My camera has a loud zoom, you can here the mechanical clicking/clanking.lol But, it does take nice close-ups. Good luck, I hope you find the right one for you soon! I'd love to see more of the deer.:)
