Never wanted to get the fans excited. 'Twas meant to be a "demo" that shows the studio the idea so they could pull together 'nough dough that pays the movie to be done. Well done made as a student film & well done for the original. The rest is crap in my opinion but SAW is one o' the best horror film that's made in the last decade.

I haven't seen this before. It's a great short and i'm pretty sure that the lead actor in it is the locked bathroom guy in the feature film. It's also nice that they used this short as a template for Amanda's pivotal plot point scene in the movie. Saw was a very unique and cool film, but they milked the franchise dry. It should have stayed a trilogy.

@paulod27 Actually they just picked a scene in the script to shoot in order to shop it to studios; they didn't just create the short and then decide to write feature film. :) The actor David is one of the writers and yes he played Adam in the feature film.
