  • Excellent work

  • punch a bitch alredy...POW!

  • batman looks kind of funny, in a good way.XD

  • Batman looks like a biker pedophile.

  • One of my favorite graphic novels....but somethings should remain within the pages of a graphic novel and not poorly acted by college students. I could applaud you for your dedication and enthusiasm to make something like this, but that would be applauding mediocrity.

  • dude. thats awesome. i just wish that the voices were a little clearer

  • Nice acting! :)

  • For what resources you had, you did well. The acting was decent, but it's just not quite the same without special effects.

  • love that joker

  • Joker looks like a mixture of The Crow and Marilyn Manson (If the The Crow movies were to make a real comeback, I'd actually like to see Manson be The Crow.)

  • For what it is, the lack of a batsuit is excusable, but a more intimidating Batman would be better

  • Lack of a batman suit because it's based on batman a humanized verson of him it's not the "batman" it was wrote by a different person made to impress the person who wrote the joker.

  • hm... different

  • I like the batman costume. It is very different.

  • I just watched all five and really well done!

I have afew questions..if you dont mind.

I have the grafic novel and I was wondering why you had the actor portray the joker so....flamboyant? i know flamboyance is a characteristic of his but I dont know.

I qwas also wondering how long this took you (manly curious about the writing adaptation)

and finally just to finally know, whats the tom waits song at the end, So many people have asked and i didnt see an answer.

    AWESOME JOB! again.

  • Hey man,

    Director here,

If you have the newest pb edition of the graphic novel, you'll see the script in the back with Grant Morrison's notes. One thing that Mr. Morrison origianlly wanted in the comic was the Joker dressed completely in madonna drag. This was blocked by the higher ups at DC, so we decided to fully embrace it on the experimental stage.

I originally transfered the script two year before we presented the show, and Louis (Who plays the joker and wrote script) took that

  • ...script and turned it into the show you see here over the course of several months. We then had 8 rehearsals and only one tech rehearsal (leading to some of the technical issues throughout)

As fot the Tom Waits song, its I'll Shoot the Moon from The Black Rider album

  • Oh nah, I have the hard cover earlier edition of the book, thats good to know and awesome you took that and embraced it like that, This is an amazing thing you guys have done here (really inspiring).

    GREAT GREAT JOB.

  • i realy wish you put subtitles

  • God I really hope you guys know how awesome this is. I'm so impressed and pleased. It's genuinely scary. Very nice work. Thank you for posting.

  • i think someone needs to put the comic online. if you know where to look can you reply to me?

  • torrents

  • I got it if you want it I can send it to you

  • sub me, currently working on a full audio adaption of it, which will include the frames along with the actors. The Killing Joke and Long Halloween coming soon too

  • @Sydpart2 Do you still need a Joker?

  • no, but looking for a Zeus or an Arkham...

  • I'm sorry to be the one to say this (being that I love the graphic novel and applaud you for your dedication and effort), but this is ghetto.

Batman in a trenchcoat and ski mask. Is he going to rob a liquor store?

  • yes

  • Hey man, I hear ya, We did the show without a budget for a night of Experimental Theatre at my college. So, no cool bat suit.

  • OMG I would LOVE to have seen this!

  • wow this is REALLY good! *****

  • CAN U COME TO MY SKOOL?!?!?!?!

  • Was this comic book adaptation performed in a theater or at a school? Who was the cast for this play?

  • There are credits on the last part. And this is a theatre at Hofstra University.

  • Phenomenal.

  • whoa great adaption
