A good friend of mine turned me onto DEVO a couple years after their first release so I bought Are We Not Men? We Are DEVO! in 1980 when I was 13, I've been a fan ever since and now my 13 year old son has the same album on his ipod. It's one of his favorites and he still thanks me for having such good taste, I told him to thank Mark for being such a genius and it would only do him good if he wanted to be anything like him ; }

Devo is cool because they had such a definitive group image. It wasnt like one lead singer and his back-up group. They were all suppose to be something like depersonalised robots, and they all fit the mould nicely. I'm glad they never hit it really big, they were always better outside the mainstream.
