@JKSK8ERLIVE No but with the way the weather has been between last year and the beginning of this year. I believe tornado sirens should be recommended. Already had 3 tornado touchdowns last year thankfully from the EF scale of EF0 - EF1, which they're weak ones.

@Ecw4Lyfe yeah cuz in Chicago we have many active tornado sirens weve had a couple close calls these past summers 4-5 times Downtown Chicago almost had a major twister but it was about 15- 20 miles to the south it was an EF3 , and many other times rotating tornadic super cells barreled through teh Chicagoland area i live about 10 miles away from Downtown we usually see them put down 2-3 weak F1s out side of downtown but nothing significant Chicagos had weak tornados b4 but in more residential sp

@Ecw4Lyfe i myself never seen a tornado but ive seen massive menacing funnels and landspots forming over my house found out it was nit that close than i thought but one time last summer i saw4 funnel clouds/ shelf clouds lowering at one time in Chicago but they dissipated luckily

Dude your video is EXCELLENT, granted those out-of-towners have no idea that you had a gorgeous view from the south east (12 miles from the IMPACT up north) near the finest beaches in Queens, NYC. You were not directly impacted but the video clearly shows (green skys) what was occurring 12 miles away from your location in Broad Channel, Queens NYC.

Nice Video...I love the comments regarding how New Yorkers react to Tornadoes...Yeah, uhm, I think it is probably something to worry about when you have densely populated areas with high rises, so excuse us for "over reacting" - I drove through Queens today, and the area was devastated...I don't care where the *&^) you're from...MN, TX, MS, I don't care, what happened here wasn't ice cream to ANYone in this country who would have experienced the storm. @kbrece38 I give you PROPS for speaking-up. I travel ALL over TX, MO, TN and never seen any storms...but I am aware that you folks get it bad. This was a first for us and without warning to say---tornados of any magnitude, mirco or macro bursts are serious (bow echoes, etc) too! Check out info for Middlw Village Queens--YA'll will see the damage that occurred in my hood that extended fro over 20 blocks....mind you all, we have tall buildings/structures that guarded most of the landscape.

I choose not to be anymore because I've got a family to stay alive for, but I was an amateur tornado chaser back in my college days, and growing up in the middle of Tornado Alley, I can guarantee I've seen/been close to/recorded bigger, meaner tornadoes than you have.

Well this storm did grow so quickly it was forecast to be just thunderstorms but surprisingly it grew into monster that issued a tornado warning for 3 boroughs(including my borough).
