yeah my kitten does this for about 6 years(!) (45 minutes) she does it to make her comfortable like ur mum would tuck u in at night when ur little, cats do this to be cozy, if this was a voting to whos kitten does this mine would be 100% its normal for cats to do this even when they didnt and they just start, its only when they're unhappy or scared they dont do this, when got my kitten she was scared of my family for almost 3 weeks then she was ine and she started doing this.
My cat did it for her whole life. I though it was so cute when she did. Except when I lay down on the couch after a meal, my belly filled good, and she jumped up on the couch to me and started kneading my stomach. BURP!
Funny, I just posted a video of my cat kneading obsessively... Glad to see shes remotely normal! It's the same type of fabric, and the only blanket she seems to paw like that!
if i remember rightly its a comfort and security thing for cats to do that with their paws and im pretty sure if they bite it i think thats meant to be sign of affection towards the object/animal.
That's nursing behavior. A cat sees her owner as her mother. Dogs see you as pack leader. This is actually normal. Your cat loves you. That dough-kneading thing she does is to stimulate the milk paps. Just part of the instinctual behavior. Don't be creeped out by it. Don't try to change it. It's instinct.

My wife had one that used to do that. When we got married, she would always jump on my stomach and do that! That cat lived 19 years!
