I think wot is so unique about the Predators (apart from the fact they look soo frickin cool), is that they r Hunters, Not Soldiers with a million strong army looking to just wipe out whole civilizations (even tho they hav the ability to do that). They r totally honorable, searching the vast eons of spaces for worthy opponents to fight. I find that very Intriguing, and the most cool thing about them.

@RaikenXion They also serve as a sort of species population control unit. But, as you said, they are honorable fighters, like how they disarm their technology and fight bare handed if the opponent is unarmed but able to fight (however, there's still a small chance you'll win).

When I was a kid my brother and me went almost every weekend to grandpa's and watched Predator I, since he got it in VHS. We know every line of this movie and if I get it doing zapping now (20 years later) I keep watching it till the end. Predator II is a really good movie, but is 1 o 2 steps below the original masterpiece. The rest is just garbage.

Also was funny how TV rated and cutted some scenes (the best) off those days. The opening of Predator II was totally confusing xD

@lebaron2050 The problem with the first one was that it was PG-13, how do you have a movie with Predators, which rip the spines out of their kills and skin them, to be rated PG-13? Problem with the second one was that it was too dark (though better then the first) and you couldn't really see all the action, and the camera work was kind of sloppy in some parts.

@lebaron2050 I don't think they were even all that enjoyable, to be honest, and I am a huge alien and predator fangirl.

Requiem was okay. But after watching the first AVP I left the theater feeling really annoyed, even angry. Oddly enough because of how dismissive Cameron was, and how it felt like the entire team went out of their way to prove him right.

It was made with thirteen year old boys in mind. I guess I can't fault it too heavily there, every young man that age I knew loved it.

He has made the monsters very weak and unscary - "bugs" to crush, like they're calling them nowadays...The idea of A L I E N (not Alien) as a scary, strange, mysterious and creepy creature is completely forgotten because of him; because a bunch of kiddos have an orgasm seeing USCM guys "pwning" xenomorphs - "xenos", like they're calling them without a respect nowadays.
