I don't care for Muriel's performance. She acted drunk on some lines but then totally forget and was sober for others. Muriel seemed kind of snobby and more into herself than into Jesse. I didn't see an alcoholic housewife with an unhappy life lusting for Jesse Kiplinger I just saw someone playing a character called Muriel Tate. I am not saying she was bad but she still had a lot of character work to do.
p.s Don't tell me my opinion is wrong. I have played Muriel before so I know what its like

Very Funny but you started off weak and then your Acting became become strong however it was good love it but JESSE you need a little more energy

I think Muriel's pretty good, but she really has to slow down and project more.
