  • It takes a great athlete to play Pro Sports in the Mile High City

  • Soccer must be a tough game to play in the Mile High City with all of that running

  • Funny to remember watching games with the NFL lines superimposed on the field.

  • A special video. The first NASL sellout. Football in America had so much promise back then and tragically faded away. Thank god MLS has got it right this time with their slow growth policy.

  • What'll be the measuring stick will be injuries that could be caused by the turf..the players may not be able to cut, and turn as they would on natural grass..I guess we'll see in time..

  • I agree. I think the reason for the field turf is the Seahawks...NFL football tears the hell out of real grass, and it rains in Seattle a lot during the NFL season. The MLS players have stated that the surface is spactacular at this time, and watching the match the other night, it didn't seem to effect the ball bouncing like the old style of turf did. Gonna be some wars with the Timbers, Sounders, and Whitecaps battling for the Cascadia Cup!

  • And what do you know....Portland gets a team in '11 as well!...thanks for finding this indyfan...wow I asked this 2 years ago! Those 3 teams are going to make MLS stronger,,,,

  • Love that wacky scoreboard they used to have. Very 70s and very cool.

  • It's a total mystery to me as to why MLS will not put a franchise in Seattle. I know thye want prospective teams to have their own stadiums. I'd love to see real football in the Pacific Northwest!

  • We miss thos years, and Paul.

  • Go Sounders!

    Paul Crossley RIP
