The narrator was character actor George S. Irving, who was best known for a series of ads he appeared in for White Owl cigars. ("Once you try a White Owl . . . we gotcha!") Most of the voices for this cartoon company were done by him, Allen Swift, Sandy Becker and Kenny Delmar. George Irving and Allen Swift were the voices for Chief Ruffled Feather and Running Board from "The Go-Go Gophers", respectively.
savoir faire is everywhere. Gosh I had almost forgotten that Now I'm really digging back into cartoon history. Better step back into the wayback machine to see what else I find
My cat had a litter 5 years ago. One I named klondike and was asked where that came from. I searched the I-net with no results to show the origin. Thanks for this!
I have to say I liked the Go-Go Gophers a little bit more and Underdog was the best. Without my secret "energy pill", I grow weaker and weaker and weaker still. Underdog was on drugs and only thought he flew. Look at where he kept that pill.
"Klondike" may have turned up on "THE BEAGLES", 'Immortal' (I don't remember), but it originated on "THE UNDERDOG SHOW", when CBS daytime programmer Fred Silverman insisted on new characters inbetween the "Underdog" chapters. The syndiciated version of "TENNEESSEE TUXEDO" may have featured "Klondike" at one point, but it originally featured new episodes of "The King and Odie" and "The Hunter" in the network edition. Most TTV/Leonardo cartoons were often "shuffled" between various series...
This introduction usually appeared before the beginning of every "Klondike" cartoon, when it was first seen on "THE UNDERDOG SHOW" in the 1966-'67 season.
Klondike was voiced by Mort Marshall; Savoir Faire by Kenny Delmar; Major Minor by George S. Irving (he also narrated the "Underdog" stories).

I kept waiting for him to do just that. He always caught Savoir Faire, but the latter was always on the loose at the beginning of the next cartoon,

Wrong, that was the LAST show it was seen under.
It started as part of the CBS show "The Beagles", then became part of "Tennessee Tuxedo", then part of "King Leonardo", and THEN part of "Underdog".
