  • I hate Noel and Liam Gallagher with a passion, but I can't help but like this song and it makes me feel dirty.

  • if these guys copied then so did the black eyed peas, jayz, emeinem, guchi, lil wayn, dr dre, katty perry ....... and the list gos on and on

  • I tried to talk to God to no avail!

  • it wouldn't be oasis if there wasn't any plagerism :)

  • i love oasis and anime ! this song makes me think of both :p way for eden of the east!

  • Eden Of The East!

  • @SMOKEinPetrone what a great anime!

  • esta cancion me encanta, simplemente es mi inspiracion-...

  • No one hears a similarity to "Tears For Fears" Falling Down?

  • It is more in the mood of "Mad World" in the singing but I cannot see some obvious plagiarism.

  • Agreed, people love to jump on the 'Oasis copied' bandwagon nowadays. Most of these shitty bands nowadays plagarise themselves by releasing the same generic crap song after song. Its woth drawing inspiration from other people if it makes your songs the same qualities as oasis's and keeps you from sounding the same.

  • oasis all the way

  • Can't wait for noel's solo album, wish the others wouldn't write songs i'd prefer that to a noel solo project (maybe keeping an odd liam song in here and there)

  • Hmm, agreed. The odd Liam song is good. Demo for Songbird was great! And I'm Outta Time is cool. No offence to Gem or Andy but they're songwriting should hit the back burner or b sides for singles only. I miss the days when Noel wrote everything!!!

  • Drums & Lyrics are Quality.

  • i wonder if this will be the 3rd single released from dig out your soul i can"t c them releasing anything else off the album this seems the best bet

  • this ''WILL'' make the top 10 wen it gets released sipsip x

  • i think oasis will be the first to admit the mega influence of the beatles on them, so whats the big deal? the beatles made great tunes, so do oasis (and perhaps partly for the beatles influence). don't get why for 14 years the same bullshit statement is repeated? look at pop rock these days: ITS ALL THE SAME SHIT! nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, STP, alice in Chains, Silverchair, bush...all took from each other but seem to never be mentioned in the same light. oasis and seattle 4ever!

  • oasis wouldnt of been around without the beatles but they were influenced by them they didnt imitate them thts stupid

  • absolute nonsense. oasis dont imitate anyone, they only use other things to gain popularity for themselves. i think the whole beatles tribute thing is very very clever

  • nice ! .. the chemical brother's remix of this song is nice too ..

but all songs made by oasis/chemical brothers in collaboration sound like the beatle's TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS

  • sorry but the beatles are not nearly as good as oasis. nor are they as cool

  • there wouldnt be an oasis without the beatles haha

  • course they would have :L:L:L...they didnt wake up one day and said " hmm i like the beatles lets make a band called oasis:L"

  • they might have formed a band but they would have a total different sound... their sound is totally beatles.....you cannot deny it cuz if you even asked them personally they would tell you the same...actually the would say their better cuz they got big fucking egos ha

  • i bet you don't know anything about the beatles.. if they hadn't existed, oasis would have had nothing to imitate

  • amazing!!!!long life oasis!!

  • Brilliant piece of music

  • The firsdt single was "The Shock of the Lightning", the second was "I'm Outta Time"...I'm predicting that this gem of a tune by Noel is the third single from the record. Pure brillance.

  • its a download only track (as a single) and its already been released

  • It wasn't officially because otherwise the band would have said. iTunes (as they normally manage to) cocked it up and put it. They thought they may as well leave it, so they covered it up by saying it was a download only single.

So yeah, they could still bring it out next, and they probably will.

    Fucking great song though :D

  • Really a very good song - best of the album.

But Oasis have to say Thank You to the Beatles' "Tomorrow never knows" (on Revolver-Album).

  • Fantastic piece of songwriting and song!

  • this is brilliant, thought oasis were beginning to fade away a bit. amazed at how good this album is . saw them in aberdeen. felt privileged too

  • this songs talk about the kaotic theory,in my personal opinion this song its, one of the most beautiful oasis song off all times

  • This is, quite possibly, one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in my lifetime. Almost saddening, in fact. I managed to catch it playing in Border's Bookstore one evening, and fell in love immediately; thus, discovering that it was by the talented Oasis. :)

  • Wash out you're mouth with soapy water!!!!

  • loved oasis for a long a time, then apathy kicked in but this is a good chilled out tune.

  • 2nd fav on the album after Im Outta Time! Mega tunes and a fantastic album, keep up the great work guys! x

  • epic album and axcellent song!

  • its just such a rich quality. mega drums, ace vocal

  • ithink this culd have been the bond song for quantum of solace cuz the alicia key song is quite crap (the loud parts of the music are good)

  • no i dont htink this could be a bond song (dont get me wrong falling dwon is my favourite of the album) but Gas Panic! o song like that would probably be the greatest Bond tune of all time think about it

  • Lol , nice thought !

Btw. I agree that the only good part of the new bond theme are the loud bits

  • their new album is amazzzing,, i love it! i think i bought the first cd that came to malta haha =) oasis live forever for suree

  • they never disappoint me

    this new album????......another masterpiece!

  • Album d'Oasis Merveilleux (L)

  • I think its some of noels finest lyrics.... amazing song

  • i could listen to this on repeat for days

  • me too

  • and me too

  • me too =D =D

  • gd tune. look at my videos ive got oasis live from liverpool some gd tunes. plz comment.

    ⓥ ⓐ ⓝ ⓓ ⓔ ⓨ

  • Listen to it every day

one of me favourite Songs by Oasis

    one of there best (y)

  • this song is the best thing noel has written in years

  • agreed with you entirely poebit, although the "to be where there's life" is creepin a bit too.

  • OASIS the best legendary band in the world

OASIS la mejor banda legendaria en el mundo

  • Ah, excellent song. There's at least 6 very good songs on the new album.

Liking this, Bag it up, soldier on, outta time, the turning, and shock of the lightening.

  • the percussion reminds me "tomorrow never knows"

  • a great tune...

  • great song best noels written for years.wot a voice!

  • great tune best noels written for years. what a great voice.

  • and saturday

  • his voice was tip top on friday in sheffield

  • Surely Liam's voice would have been better for this... well, a younger Liam at least. Who knows what condition his voice is in nowadays.

  • Its actually recovered nicely in the last few years. Stopped singing to the sky and got a singing coach. Still not 94/95 shape but definitely more musical now.

  • Great song..noels done it again!

  • You know this do you mate? Honestly what a plonker...

  • lol i laugh at people who can see into the future.....like plonka below....

wonder if i can buy him use him for my betting!!

actually nah.....hes just gonna be wrong anyway!

  • its ok, but the good days hav come and gone shock of the lightning will be there last decent song

  • I like this song better than The Shock of Lightening. I love all their songs though!

  • ive read one or 2 of the stupidest comments here...all music is derivative of previous music..the beatles were heavily derivative of their own influences as were the stones...as for saying that the drum beat is somehow the same as the drumbeat on Tomorrow Never Knows is firstly laughable as its a drumbeat played backwards-probably impossible to recreate naturally and secondly get yourself some ears you tuneless tit-its not remotely like it.

  • sirus365 i agree with everythig you just said

  • What is Noel saying in this song? Sounds like there is abit of a deep meaning into his psyche he is laying out here..

  • This song keeps growing and growing...amazing!

  • It's a great song and definitively a homage at the Beatles' tomorrow never knows.

By the way in this track Ringo Starr's son Zak is the drummer.

  • at least they can copy the beatles and make something good out of it not an embarrassment, so whats the fuckin deal, get over yourself

  • Er The Turning, Shock and a few others like Ain't Got Nothin and Soldier On sound nothing like The Beatles. That ain't fair mate. The album is still better than most new band's albums these days. Give Oasis a break!

  • If they're not careful, Oasis will soon become a punchline.

All the "groove" based songs they've ever released can all be traced back to "Tomorrow Never Knows" by the Beatles - the same drum loops, the same drone effect, the same aural soundscapes... it's simply embarrasing.

  • Tomorrow Never Knows is a great song, and we all love what it and all of Revolver has done to rock music.

But honestly, that's the point of influences. People will derive from it, and that is ok. When Paul and Ringo look upon songs that might trace back to them, they'll probably be happy.

  • which songs are you refering to?

  • The beatles are their greatest influence, by creating similar songs they arent embarrasing buy rather flattering

  • epic song...

  • Ha ha, It sounds like Tears for Fears. Well they had a Beatles phase too..

  • still bought the album though im loyal

  • Love the band since 94 i was 10 years old , i just think the songs on the album haing got the pulling power the way whats the story, definitely maybe, masterplan, or be here now has, any album since Andy and Gem joined has been dull as fuck this album is just like dont believe the truth , forgetable songs are weak and bland as fuck give me stick all you like but in 10 years time are you honesly gonna remember aint got nothing or the shock of the lightning? cause im one fan who wont.

  • the only thing genius on the album, this and waiting for the rapture the rest is beatles wannabe WANK.

  • love this song... love this album...! welcome back noel....

  • this is supposed to be their next single, good song but not single material

  • I heard that I'm Outta Time was going to be their next single.

This song is simply amazing, and i love it.

  • yh it's a very very good osng but they both sound like album tracks

  • i agree...not to mention i don't think that it represents the rest of the album at all

  • yeah you may have a point there

  • Go to their myspace site and listen to all tracks from the new album. Simply amazing! Nothing like before, but still the same Burnage Boys. Got to love ´em...

    And BTW...

Bag It Up is one of the best tracks of the album with this one.

  • with the range of styles the beatles covered it would be extremely hard not to copy them somehow.

  • damon albarn only wishes he left a legacy like oasis. blur r best known 4 there spats wiv oasis not there music. one word SHITELIFE

  • That explains the gorrillaz....*heehee*

  • one of noely's best

  • Tags:

OASIS DIG OUT YOUR SOUL FALLING DOWN THE SHOCK OF LIGHTNING NOEL LIAM GALLAGHER FREE CASH INCOME PAYPAL ....lol

    Great song btw. ;o

  • I HAVE TO TRY LOL

  • sounds like Chapterhouse or the Pale Saints

  • Great song, good comeback for the gallaghers and co.

  • Shame they have to copy The Beatles yet again. Compare 'Tomorrow Never Knows' with this.

  • The singles most likely will be

The shock of lighting , Fall'in Down , Aint got nothing , The Turning , I'm Outta Time

  • This was great LIVE in Montreal. However, "To Be Where There's Life" will be this record's standout track.

  • Outta time will be the second single.

  • without question the stand out song of the album. oasis classic.

  • I bet 99% of listeners would question that statement

  • this is the only vid of this song left, theyve removed the rest

  • Should be the next Single!

    Quality........

  • It is im pretty sure...or it may be the third.

  • this sounds bloody awesome

  • Hmm, not so sure about this.

It might grow on me tho!

  • Still best band ever - no question! Coldplay, Stereophonics, Richard Ashcroft ... they're all brilliant. BUT THIS IS OASIS!:-)
