I would love to be able to watch from start to finish. I do hair and here in Va where I live comtinuing education is so hard to come by. The angles that I create during the cut are each part of the overall desired Creation aka Result. I always allow the natural texture and growth patterns to be part of the cut - if not, then too much work of the Client. I'm pleased you wrote. :-)

@jvw1018 Absolutely! This wonderful Client of mine allows me to create and recreate as her hair grows. I've had her hair long, and yet, this was the shortest we had ever taken her hair and nape (on an asymmetrical angle)! As it grew out it softened gorgeously. So, yes, a tad bit longer... or even shorter... all depending on the desired result and "attitude" of the Client/Model.

I rarely walk into other hair salons as I am personally trapped behind my own hair chair. But, yes, I have seen a fellow Stylist from time to time look a bit of a mess. If it were continuous, then that's a problem. But, of course, most ideally, a person in the Beauty Industry need look quite fashionable. Even, if colored with hair color, and clips in her hair. lol :-)

i know A symetrical means one side shorter, and i know a bob is all one length, so what is A line mean? to me it looked like a angled a-symetrical wedge because it was so short at the back. i love the front and colours, but i dislike when a client wants to go so short in the back to look manly.

A bob is not always all one length. A bob refers to the line of the cut. An A-Line refers to the Angle of the bob line. A for Angle. And sometimes, a Client wants an extreme angle, thus creating a shorter back section. So long as the edges of the shorter back are left soft, the look remains feminine. ;-)

Wow - fantabulous - love the asymetry and the back to back hand work on slide cutting the left side. Bravo Sharon. The colors and the color placement is beyond extraordinary.
