  • i want to ride it :D

  • Long live the van! That's what my crew called it.

  • @cshq177 - We called ours the Armored Winnebago.

  • That was awesome. You did this right down the road from my house.

  • I hate my 113, especially as a mortarman.

  • they don't steer worth sh*t on ice.

  • hey should try driving it buttonned up. in MOPP gear. in the summer..in the desert.

  • the guys too damm fat to drive it.it ain't that hard. Put it in drive, unlock the brake, push the petal to the floor, steer the hand levers which control the tracks.

  • In Singapore, they are called the "Moving Coffin" xD

  • METUL BAWXES

  • Wow, incredible. It's like we're right up there riding with you, thanks for posting it! --Dancougar82

  • our enemies come at us in METAL BAWKSES the cowards! the fewls! We shall take away....their metal boxes

  • This engine sound Detroit 6v53 brings me good memories in Spain of the army in 1983

  • In the german army they are called the "Bouillon cubes" xD

  • This does bring back memories. Wish I had a video camera back in 1980. Drove one in Kansas, Germany and in California at Fort Irwin. *****

  • USAF heavy weapons "Panther Teams" Air Base Defense. We used these in S. E. Asia.

I would love to take that out for a drive ! Love the audio !

  • Drove one today for the first time - FUN!

  • Cool. 21 years ago, I drove this thing in the german army. Good memories, although I always envied the drivers of "real" tanks :-) The sound of the M113 is SAWEEET, though, always loved it.

  • WTF trying to move it with the ramp down "IDIOT" Detroit Engine 6V53T hardcore powerplant biggest issues where the bolts on the drive shaft worked themselves loose. Lazy ass grunts always lagged on their PMCS most difficult part to R/R was the starter weighs about 90 lbs and three fricken bolts other mechanics use to pull the power plant. I served in the ARMY as a 63T at FT Irwin, FT Benning, Ft Knox, Hoenfels Germany, Wildflicken Germany, Bamberg Germany, and Grafenwoer Germany

  • This was one of the best APC ever built. Has many roles, has been used by multiple countries, and halls ass with 10 soldiers and 2 crew.

  • LMAO...at 3:25 did you hear the TC ask if the door was up.....Yep he tried to take off with the ramp down......

  • Great memories !

I drived this Tank at the Army as i was Medical Soldier.

My tank was build in 1967 :P

    PS:

Now the Medical Corps has these new tanks.

  • @Gueldenhaar

Good, but they are not tanks- They're Armored personnel Carriers, made to carry infantry into the battle and keep up with tanks.

They've been adopted to perform other roles like ambulance and cumunications vehicle but it's standart as APC.

cheers- i've been serving in my Country's Army since 2000

  • ISSO É UMA SUCATA, AS LATERAIS SAO DE ALUMÍNIO, FAZ MUITO BARULHO, OS SOLDADOS SERIAM MORTOS QUANDO FOSSE USA A METRALHADORA. PORCARIA !!!!

  • thanks for that, now i can really make my m113's interior up to scrach!!!!!

  • chuck norris eats these for breakfast

  • These things are sooooo old LOL!

  • @m1up Anytime they were in the vietnam war! LOOOOOOOOOOOL lmao

  • @m1up Anytime they were in the vietnam war! LOOOL lmao

  • @ItalianBlackheart123

    Yeah man! Ancient

  • Great video! Check my channel for some clips of our military vehicles in action

  • Fort Knox tank school. 'First lesson was, get in, sit down, hit those buttons and lets go. So I hit Tobacco Lake full speed down the hill, sent a column of water straight up about 20' and we got soaked. had to pump 6" of water out.

  • Here is Spain we have them too - in my Engineers' unit (UZAP12) there were 8 A1's and 4 A2's (6 years ago), all equipped with front pushing blade and of course 12.70 gun on top... Your vid brings nice memories, it even made me recall the smell of these fat ugly fellas, I've also spent a few long and cold nights inside of them LOL.

  • Thanks for the ride :-) ...... I was back on memery lane. I have driven a M113A1 my self :-)

  • 33:35 to 36:40 is the most interesting part

  • Where is this place? KIlleen??? I noticed the 1st Cav Patch on the soldier. This place looks very familiar. It could be the Killeen Police Training Center. I could be wrong. If anyone knows let me know

  • big LIKE.

I'm an IDF solider,I am mechanic and driver of the M113.

    your M-113 looks really great!!!

    thumbs up friend

  • lt grüber and his little tanky

    (allo allo) ;)

  • I always loved the sound of "my" M113 but would have prefered a tank that could actually turn on the spot. also, the torsion bars kept cracking if you were over ambitious in semi tough terrain, e.g. fast speeds on long whoops. still, funny times they were. would love to drive one after all those years ;-)

  • The track tension needs adjusting. Too low.

  • Driving an armoured vehicle on post without a ground guide is forbidden unless in convoy.

I used to drive one of these. I lived in one in the mud and the cold in Germany. They were fun to drive but sucked to ride in as a passenger. Loud noisy and vibrated badly.
