anyone who likes these rooms must be desperate. NO AIR, never mind NO AC, yes they are like a submarine..... claustrophobic. By the time you have finished toweling down after a shower in this airless, windowless "room", you will have worked up enough sweat to merit another shower! A real rip off !
@jamesa0330 Most places don't need air conditioning. I'm sure if it did, the rooms would have it. Most people also aren't claustrophobic. And I don't know what you mean by "NO AIR". If there wasn't ventilation you wouldn't survive the night... lol. There's plenty of air. I think the room would be wonderful for a short stay.
I used one of these at Amsterdam airport and it was full of prostitutes, and itwas cold as hell. plus the tv didnt work. i was pretty tired though. to work it.
Staying at the new one in NYC next month, actually cant wait, it should be an adventure! I dont care how small it is, if you've ever been to NYC, then you already know, everything is tiny, it doesnt matter what budget you are on, it will be tiny. The idea is that you are in the middle of the city, that's the only point in NYC. You want a nice room, go to Vegas where you can stay in a 5 bedroom, 15k sq foot room!
We are here right now! This place is awesome, it's way bigger and better than the one that the gentleman is staying in from this video. They are small, but put together so well and practical. You are going to love it, my wife and I have stayed in NYC in many hotels, and for the location of this one, and the money, and the cleanliness and COOLNESS of this place, we wont be staying anywhere else for quite sometime. Im a fan, this place is perfect.
I couldn't agree more. It's a good idea to try something at least once. If you like it, then well and good. But, if you don't at least its a story you can tell your grand kids sometime. I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it.;)
Yep, these rooms are definitely the way to go for a weary traveller. If the rent was cheap enough, I could see people living in these, especially those who noly treat houses as "just a place to sleep". Low on maintainance too.
i think it would be awsome like to do flights that like every seat would be one of thos and if two people where flying they would have double beds i mean only for hella long flights across the world and stuff
hey can you got get a crackwhore and score some dope and go in there and crack it up or is security to tight i mean when we take the sink plunger out to use as a pusrod and start arguing over who get the last hit and when i beat her ass for stealing my wallet i mean is it really a notell motel because that looks like a good place to nasty up and i imagine can have good freaky sex with the ole whore in there
Thank you so much for uploading. I have always wondered about this. Travelling to London, staying in a pod hotel, monorail from Heathrow to downtown London and back.
Seems like a cabin on a train. I'm game for it. Normally on layovers of 6 to 10 hours I just rent the cheapest car I can find at an airport, go out to their parking lot, get in, recline the seat and go to sleep. It ends up being less than $30 US
Im just waiting for an airline to put this sort of room in a first class section of a plane, maybe Emirates will in a few years time as their half way there now!!!.
i do now, my room is tiny at £380 a month but i have my desk and internet, been here 5 years.. i work and earn £25k a year but dont need space other than my desk and a few feet on the floor for my bed space.
hahahahahaha!! That sound effect before the video changes to "the morning after" - i thought you had accidently dropped or kicked something and the whole bed was collapsing. ahh lol.
I don't remember but they charge by the hour- I think it ended up being about 30 pounds for 6-7 hours or so------ so about 1/5 the cost of a full night at a regular hotel
That looks somewhat similar to a concept design I've been working on that I'm calling a "privacy hostel". Thanks for sharing. I'm going to look the place up.

This is not bad at all; it is similar to a room on the Amtrak sleeper service. I will remember this if I get stuck at Heathrow.

I have some questions:
1) How is the security there? Is it safe to sleep during anyones stay?
2) How is the room service?
3) When you take a shower how does the water stay in the shower stall and not get the floor and the toilet wet?
Hanssen69 2 years ago 4
answers: 1) its very secure, the door is like a submarine, and there is a reception right down the hall
2) i didn't use it but i think its good from what i could see
3) it did stay dry- i think its just good design- combination of angles etc
