The plot and gameplay of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is based on its predecessors CV Lament of Innocence (released two years before GOW) and CV Dawn of Sorrow (released the same year as GOW), NOT God of War. In fact, it's GOW that ripped-off both Rygar and CV Lament of Innocence. GOW itself is completely unoriginal and did nothing new that previous games had not already done. Calling any game a 'GOW rip-off' is a complete insult to the hack & slash genre.

The weapom that the guys uses in VERY similar, the camera work is the same, the gameplay is the same thing, the bosses are very similar... everything in this games is VERY, VEEEERY similar to GoW.
you're not a bad player, but the simple attacks you did didn't do the movelist justice.....I forgot if it was in the final version, but the demo had a hammer like combo of three normal attacks and a final heavy attack that would've leveled that large guy.
One of the last videogames i ever purchased, was a decent game i'd give it a 8.5 out of 10, the last stage with the floating rocks was an awesome stage...epic.

God of War is way better than this piece of shit game, seriously. This had a horrible story that seemed to jump everywhere. It had a bad camera system. The graphics were horribly not up to date I mean 2002 on the PS2 and they still couldn't do better than a 90 arcade game. Hardly any health. Not enough action between doing things. Just an all around horrible game, 1 out of 10.

No, this game sucked ass! First of all, the game was huge and had nothing in it, like the environments were to big with not enough stuff in them. Second the voice acting was horrible. Third I beat the game relatively easy and fourth I can compare the two games because they both ARE the same game except God of War is 3000 times better even if it came out later. PS2 had way better grapchical games before Rygar.
