One of the superficial things that impressed me about Chris and that band was their "ordinary" appearance. Chris looked like a high school jock, didn't try to dress up in high heels and wigs to look hip. These guys just stood flat footed and played great songs. I'm a sailor; I always loved this song. @saxforth - You know what, it's not that the talent to write sophisticated chord harmonies and good melodies has disappeared, it's just that the tastes of the current generation(s) (teens, tweens and early 20's) dictate what's popular. Although...that said, current songwriters really seem to know nothing beyond a few basic chords... It's like proper SONGS don't even stand a chance these days, which is sad. All you need is a beat and some fool like Nicki Minaj yelling a repetitive hook.
