  • great job on the car! im restoring a '78 z28 myself. its goiong super slow due to money issues, and im leaving in june for the military so unfortunetly its going to be years before mine is complete. im redoing the entire interior right now, i went from original red to a custom black and red interior. i had the seats custome made and have red lights on the inside of the car. the outside is a faded red, but probably going to paint it black with red decals, not original, but whatever.

  • Nice! Brodies in the parking lot.

  • need more chicks, less sausage

  • DAYUM you are a built mofo. especially in the 80's or 90's LOL

  • 12 bolt posi with 3:73 in it. The car has a big block in it now, the engine swap is in my videos.

  • what do you have in this for a rear end?

  • how much did it cost? i got another camaro in my driveway rotting away, i just need to know about how much to save before getting elbow deep in rust and grease

  • Where did you get your headliner panels, the ones above the doors??

  • Bad ass, job ,thats the way to get it done. Restore them classics!!!!!

  • I've restored a lot of the 70-73 camaro's for bosses... None of them are ever honest about what they charged... can you estimate about how much you paid for the labor alone??

  • Great work! I start working on my '70 Camaro in 2 weeks. This video was inspirational..

  • Shes a beauty. take care of her.

  • thats real cool resstoration video totaly awosome how you took the time to take all of those pictures of how it was before and after and you drive it like it was meant to be driven.Time for e new project?????

  • where did u find ure seats ive been looking for my camaro but i cant seem to find them

  • how much did you spend?

  • liked the video till i saw that godamn speakerbox

  • The "speaker box" is is actually a complete system with stereo. sub, amp and speakers and is removable (carpeted on the bottom) with a 12 foot lead on it. That way I didn't have to remove the factory AM radio and I still have tunes when it is just me and the wife driving. If we have passengers, you simply pick up the "speaker box" and take it out. It is GREAT at parties and BBQa, you can take it out set it on top of the car and crank it up (or anywhere within 12ft). Thanks for the comments!

  • I guess thats aight then. I try to stick to keeping everything as original as possible, but if its completley standalone then not a big deal. Howd you get it done in 4 months btw?? Did you already have all the money for parts? Did you have Alot of free time?

  • @SteveHOCP hey dont take this the wrong way but you could of made a plate to put the new radio in the glove box and the speakers in the back and made it alot sharper... thats just my opinion but other than that its a sharp car man

  • nice job man, looks like you enjoy driving it!!!

  • awesome looking car man!

  • im restoring my 70 camaro for my grad project right now. you did a great job with this car, i love it. whats i got engine wise?

  • The songs are "Broken" by Beether (with Amy Lee) and "Colors" by Crossfade

  • @SteveHOCP seether

  • name of song please. You did a great job. Car looks awsome. where you the original owner?

  • oh my god, u did a proper job on that. beautiful result

  • fellow alaskan

  • Wow I bet it was fun mounting those quarters !

  • you look like todd wentworth in the beginning of the video, look him up on youtube

  • hey man nice car and great job on that deal

  • very nice work. i love to see cars like that being restored rather than being junked.

  • just bought a 71 to do,it needs help,i don't know why these people are fighting over this stuff, bunch of fucking retards or some kind of issue,i liked what they did with the car

i guess we need a youtupe for big people and let the little punks have their battles

  • Nice work man.... i am restoring a 1974 Ford capri GT.

  • i ve been there and done that, congratulations, i restored exactly the same car but with manual transmision, i know how hard it can get so congrats again Steve, the funny thing is that i did in my country, Argentina, where parts are really hard to get, i hope you still own it, i sold it a couple years ago and i still regret it

  • Nice work! Beautiful restore Steve. I'm a hardforum member, just saw a link to this vid... whats your best 0-60 and 1/4 mile with this car? Does it have a name? :p its gotta have a name ;)

  • reffup is talking about a different car, the one in the video is mine ;^) BTW, I removed the huge-all-caps-screamfest-F*@KYOU post, people don't want to read that kinda stuff.

  • Hey man don't worry about that guy if you really are 16 you did a hell of a job kid, you know what you got, thats one of the nicest Ive ever seen, I got the same wheels, speedo, and seats in my 80

  • all 1969 302 CID Z/28 engines were stamped with engine code DZ, if your car is authentic, check under the hood.

  • The RS and SS packages could be combined on the first generation Camaros(67-69). The RS and Z/28 packages could also be had together. But the SS package was available with either the 350 or 396 engine only. The Z28 came with the 302 motor only. Their are a number of websites on the internet to learn more about first generation Camaros.

  • it is infact a 1969 Z/28 SS it boasts a 302 and you can shut the fuck up cause ur talking to me like im a fucking moron

  • good work

  • nice work man great feeling doing the work or mos of it yourself

  • very nice job... the split bumper to answer your question, the split bumpers are factory installed.

I will e-mail you with pics later.

Till then, drive it like ya stole it!

  • 20 years just to do that burnout hehehe

    love the car

  • To answer some of your questions:

Yes, the love songs are TO MY CAR :)

I've had the car 20 years.

The "black paint" put on the shell of the car before the body panels is POR15 rust preventer. All the new panels were coated with it before reassembly.

The "mullet" hairdo was from 16 years ago.

I only did some of the work myself.

The "hot chicks" in the video are my sister (16 years ago), my wife and my daughter.

  • i was waitin for that pic... at 5:45 of you lighten it up... im 16 years old.. my uncle owns a 1969 camaro z28 ss him my father and i are just wrapping up a full body off resto. i loved every minute of it and ive spent every waking free hour of my time in the shop contributing in any way that i knew how...i just purchased my first car... 67 chezy 2 its going to be our next project as soon as we get the stamped floor panels... you got a quality piece of muscle on your hands man nice car

  • No such thing as a Z28 SS

  • look it up asshole its sittin infront of my fuckin house rite now you fool

  • useless twit

  • ACTUALLY... in 1996 (and only in '96) they made like 500 of them, very rare
