As a previous blogger mentioned- I too was in the 3rd grade when the beautiful movie of the Red Balloon was shown in our classroom- that was decades ago & I often recall the storey that reminds me of the many humanitarian lessons the film inspired.

A film without words, without color accept for the wonder of the red balloon itself!

I remember watching The Red Balloon when I was a kid.

I think almoist every generation of kids watched this when they where little, I'm 24 and I remember watching this many different times when I was a kid.

I heart The Red Balloon. simple, straight forward, filled with emotions, feelings and deeply touching. I love its ending, beautifully written and executed. Children films don't get better than this.

Oh my gosh, I wore out my VHS copy of the red balloon but it is in NO comparison to how gorgeous it looks remastered. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited!

Narrator's on rereleases always are cheesy in their overthetopness (even if what they say is true), but these movies look beautiful. Going to order them right now. Thanks for the upload!

Criterion is going to release both of them as a double feature sometime in January. Judging by the trailer, both films went through  a beautiful restoration process.
