  • Amazing cover and nice set, that must have set you back a few bucks

  • Brilliant, nevertheless something happened at 4:12 though

  • @jisa39 yeah, I was out just a hair, so my drums + Neil's sound all muddled up like a bunch of flams. Like i said in the description - some crazy mistakes.

  • @Pauliewanna Just details, you, as usual, were brilliant. Cheers.

  • It would be funny as heel to see a 90 year old man playing this on the drums

  • I wish you could balance the mix a little better. The track is a little hot. I want to hear a little more of your drums.

  • Wow. That was crazy good!

  • Brilliant!

  • @Bakazuraz No man, it's 'mediocre drumming spiced up by a shitload of visuals'. I fooled you!

  • can't spice up mediocre drumming by putting a shitload of visuals...

  • Tough one near the end, nice work! :) Nice work on the bass solos too! ;)

  • so at 5:42 you needed to drink your beer but since you finished it at the beginning you chugged your invisible beer and crushed the can with one mighty fist and your forehead and tossed it into the depths of your drum room, very nice sir.

  • My Fave haha!

  • 8:00 mins of pure class

    what mistakes ??

Nice one Paul, one drum kit assaulted to perfection

  • @dirklerxstprof2112 I could write a few paragraphs on each one of my videos outlining all the mistakes I made in the song. They are subtle unless you are intimately familiar with all the ins and outs of the drumming, but they are there. I just comment on them because other drummers kick my ass if don't.

  • what do the electronic pads do?

  • @Chumpmaster65 Play sounds when I hit them depending on which patch I have programmed in my roland spd-20 octopad (just visible to my far left) If you watch the recent videos of Leave that Thing Alone or Cold Fire, you can see them in action. I think I've used them in some other videos too (available light). I'm still learning all the sounds and how to best program them.

  • Heinies....keep'em going down.

  • In a word... Intense... Thumbs up!

  • Man that's a workout Paulie!

  • If I send you a couple clips of my son drumming to RUSH would you give me some feedback/advice? Awesome job by the way.

  • @U2RUSHFAN Sure.

  • What part of the song do you find yourself most in the groove?

  • @ObltKG4 I'd say the repetitive pattern with all the fills on the hi-hat. I've got that firmly embedded in my brain to the point that I don't even think about it much when I play it, it just sort of flows out in the right order.

  • @Pauliewanna the timing is tricky, but like most of your stuff it's aced.

Your hi-hats sound crisp. Love it!

  • Great cover once again.

  • I lol'd at your imaginary beer drink at 5:42. Nothing like pretending you're crunching and smashing a beer can against your forehead and throwing it away. Nice job! Oh and the drumming was superb as usual! LOL

  • @thunderfan77 This was quite spur of the moment as I looked over to me 'stash' and alas, the cupboard was bare, so I improvised.

  • @thunderfan77

Kicked butt, nice , very nice.

  • WOW Amazing!!!

  • This seems really hard :O

  • @Paaraadox It's hard... it's even harder trying to remember it after more than a year of not even listening to it.

  • @Pauliewanna Kudos to you :)

  • Dude, you are great.

anyone who plays rush well is a awesome drummer, you are one of them.

me and my father love rush. both of us play drums, and we know how it is hard.

    brazilian greetings

    Rodrigo

  • that left hand hi hat work at 2:52 was sick. killer job as usual

  • Awesome song. Great drumming!

  • woot woot not blocked for copyright! :P

  • A question, Paulie: What kind of earprops/headphones do you use? When I play the drums, I need a pair of hearing protection outside the earphones to hear the music and to not get some serious hearing damages.

  • @Dekknavn39 I wear shure in-ear, noise-reduction ear buds - 115-CL i think?. The music is not loud in my ears and when I'm playing, I basically don't hear my drums/cumbals at all.
