  • waeeeeeeeeeeeee han dil ka za chshme dilbar hoftad ,,bamar shodo ba bastar hoftad...

  • It's very ifsos we cant see him again because we are far away eastern part of America. when ever he has concert may in Californai or other cities not in Missouri.

We see his concert over internet or Tv or never close. It's okay God is great and we will see him someday. I am a big fan of him God gives him a long life.

  • WOOWWWW WAHH WAHH WALI JAN BISYAR OHNAGE ZEBA

KEEP IT : UR BEST GHAZAL singer Ahmad Wali jan

how old are u now `? sry

i think like with 63 or so 64.?

  • superrrrrrr....:))

  • this guy's voice puts me to sleep.

  • his voice is soft and calm, there is problem on his recording; we can't hear his elegant voice enough, music comes first. for such singers, music should not be louder than voice.

  • funnyandcute, I 100% agree with u. Ahmad Wali jon is the best of the best!

  • He was one of the most likely singers to fill in Ustad Sarahang's shoes, but he did not seek to learn, get further training, and excel to a higher level. Instead, bet on his looks, hair, and fame to carry him through. He mostly sings the same old songs that he sang 30 to 40 years ago. What a waste of talent.

  • becoming a USTAD would do what for Ahmad Wali Jan? He learned to become a ghazal singer NOT a classical singer .... What has becoming a Ustad done for all of our afghan ustads these days?

  • @Masood Jaan Asefi, dont take me wrong. I love all kinds of Afghan music from classical to Ghazal, folk music, especially Logary ( pure and authentic) Naat, Qawali, y name it. I feel very bad to write anything negative about a singer that you admire, but if you see him, ask him if he knows what the word Ghazal means and then what are the characteristics of a Ghazal. I'm sure he cannot answer either one, even though he wishes to be known as a Ghazal singer. What a shame!

  • AGAIN you seem to not be able to answer my question back? Ahmad Wali has spent more of his life singing infront of people such as KING Zahir Shah, Ustad Sarahang, Ustad Hashim, Nanaiwaz, Taransaz, and kheyal and has proven to be a ghazal khan to them. AND WHO ARE YOU ? a nobody with a keyboard and a mouse ....

  • @MasoodAsefi, Based on your premise that becoming an Ustad hasn't done anything for anybody, but being a Ghazal singer is more important. I countered your presumption that A. Wali was a Ghazal artist. I at least know what the Word "Ghazal" means, and the characteristics of a Ghazal. I don't know u, but I know Wali doesn't, neither did Zahir Shah. These other Ustads u mentioned, were making musical arrangements for him, since A. Wali has a good voice. By the way how do u knw tht I dont knw music?

  • No other ghazal singer can even come close to singing Ghazal like A.W does. He sings from his heart and touches many hearts and souls. He is just an amazing singer with the best qualities. The greatest of all times. Long live the Sultan of ghazal Ahmad Wali!!!

  • @Mansoor1952, There is a great distinction between "fact" and "opinion". What you have stated above are all your personal opinion. You are disputing some of my factual assertions with your personal opinion. Just because something touches someone's heart, does not mean it is true. The statement, "Music should be banned", touches the hearts of the Taliban. Is that then true?

  • @sarmalim, Just wanted to thank you for pointing out what you believe are facts. Murgh-e Afghan yak ling daara. I have nothing else to say to you.

  • @Mansoor1952, I have presented you with some diductic data, you are still being sarcastic. I could aledge the same, "Murgh-e-Afghaan Yak...." about you. Lastly to clarify my point I'll give you one example of fact and one of opinion.

    1. You can get wet walking in the rain. (fact) or (fiction)

    2. Ahmad Zahir has a good voice. (fact) or (fiction) A fatual statmnt is true at all times, every where and acrding to evrybdy, on the contrary a fictional statement does not pass this test, like ur taste

  • @MasoodAsefi, These Ustads that u mentioned were doing him a favor & giving him the equivalent of Afghan pop composition arrangements. With the exception of Ustad Sarahang who has not given him any, however, A. Wali has accompanied Ustad Sarahang with Tabla in a few occasions. None of these Ustads has sat in front of Ahmad Wali to listen to him sing Ghazal. It is not popular to say something negative about a popular Afghan singer, but on the other hand, I submit that it is an unpopular truth.

  • NO buddy Ahmad Wali Jan didn't just play tabla with Ustad Sarahang few occasions. He also sang with him a few occasions including in Radio Kabul and also other events. Ahmad Wali Jan was his student. AGAIN I have nothing else to say to someone (ignorant) like yourself.

  • @MasoodAsefi, You said that you have nothing else to say to me. What else do you wish to say to me. You have already called me "ignorant", and " a nobody with a keyboard and a mouse". All this with snap decisions, without knowing a thing about me. You are not hurting my feeling, by the way. On a scale of 1 to 10, if Ustad Satahang is a 10, your "Ahmad Wali Jan" would probably be close to a 3. Ustad Sarahang is MY role model. If nothing else, you should give credit for that and not insult me.

  • good song for good

  • I like the song(andel ke ze chashme delbar oftad) so much...its incredibly nice to hear

  • honarmand haaye qadimi paida namesha old is gold famosh nakonen please

  • AN DEL KE ZE CHASHME DELBAR OFTAD...WAWAWA

what nice lyrics and the song suits his voice and Nadeem22 i completely agree with you.

Proud to be an ARYAN OR KHORASANI

  • Ma Ay Sadaa Ra Ke Meshnawum Khomaar Meshom.

  • A great song. Thanks for uploading.

  • ahmad wali jaan is one of the best afghan singers...i love his voice so much unfortunately many people do not appreciate his music, at his concert in the bay area not too long ago not even 140 people came....so sad, he deserves alot more

  • It is an old proverb in persian, "saiey-e lashker nayayed ba kaar, yaky mard-e jungy ba az sad azaar." I believe A. Wali jan sings at a much higher level than most of audience would ever understand. Most of us are quite illiterated when it comes to music, and therefore do not appreciate someone like A. Wali jan. The younger generations attend the concerts just for the sake of dancing with beats. They don't care about quality music. It's really a shame to us for losing our Farhang this easy.

  • That's may be that his concert night coincided with Khetab saheb's son's funeral service. That was an unexpected tragedy but unfortunately it was too late to cancel/ postpone the concert.

  • @Nadeema22, Even though, I agree with your generalization, as far as the younger generation is concerned, but I take issue with you when comes to A. Wali's peers. I'm sorry to disappoint you. He has made little progress, musically speaking. If you see him, ask him if he knows what the word Ghazal means and then what are the characteristics of a Ghazal. I'm sure he cannot answer either one, even though he wishes to be known as a Ghazal singer. What a shame! He cannot crunch my thirst for music.

  • Sarmalim Saheb, to reassure you, I'd never get disappointed on comments that is obviously coming from someone who has made his mind against a legend. There are many pple like you who claim they know a lot about music to the point that they even comment about a legend "not knowing the meaning of Ghazal". To clarify this, tthe most essential aspect of a singer's success is his Voice; and he's got it! His ghazals are more pleasant than any Ustaads'. Anyone who is not deaf can appreciate this!!!

  • @Nadeema22, I'm not discussing his voice. He has a good voice, no doubt, but he has no SKILLS. Voice is a God given aspect of a person, like ones hands. There are a lot of people who play Tabla, and may have better Tablas, not all of them can use their hands as Zakir Husain, even on a mediocre Tabla. Zakir knows all the Bolls of Tabla and can teach it too. Human throat is a musical instrument, he who is skilled at playing it is the best. Ggazal is not bout the voice, it is about the knwlge&skill

  • @Sarmalim, re: creativity and progress;

It is a fact that there is direct relation b/w demand and production/ creativity.

In a society who has mostly forgotten its farhang and music. Most of whom only listen to maast songs and believe that ghazal is Boring, we ghazal lovers much appreciate A. W jan even sing. I myself would have never sung under same conditions/ situation. On another note, if you don't like his music, Please Do Not Listen to his Songs. Thank you.

  • @Nadeema22, I couldn't agree more with most of what u wrote above. I'm a Ghazal lover too. I only differ with you in A.W. not knowing anything about Ggazal, even the meaning and basic definition. Most of the listeners don't know it either, so whatever is offered, we buy. There is no counter to him. Ustads Sarahang, Shaida, Rahim Bakhsh are gone. There are some awesome Urdu Ghazal singers like Ustad Fateh Ali Khan, that I only enjoy 50%(music only), don't knw Urdu. A.W.has not imprved w/ his age

  • what are you talking about....ahmad walis concert in the bay consistently has a full house

  • the last one was empty. and the one before that there werent that many people.

  • Its because he comes like every year to the same ball room. And the same songs. Poeple probully got sick of seeing him every mother day at diamond palace

  • In his concert in Toronto on February 2009 was unblievably jamed but quite organized and classic. An amazing night for Toronto to remember.

  • im really glad to hear that..he is one of my idols! a legend!

  • Thanks for uploading this terrific song.

  • Ahmad Wali Greatest singer of all times

There is an album of his with Ustad Mahwash once you listen to that you will be able to compare his voice with Ahmad Zahir since Ahmad Zahir and Mahwash have a duet song too

Ahmad Wali has such a lovely and clean voice

  • truly he has a good voice

  • That album was recorded at ustad Nainawaz's home. I do not believe anyone could have done such great job as A. Wali has done. Also, his voice has a great influence on the voices of the other douet singers such as ustad Mahwash and Hangama. I have never heard ustad Mahwash's voice as pleasant as in this album.

  • I agree he is the best.

  • truly,AHmadjan is the best singer of all

he has his own style and place

OMG I cant resist to hear his voice

    it is just killing me

I love him so much because of his voice

and hangama is nothing, even though her family didn't have a good reputation and I really blame ahmad getting in relation with her because she wasn't not nice girl neither his family was agree so this sort of marriage won't last forever but I wish ahmadjan best of luck.I want to go to his concert but he never came to USA:(

  • Wow!!! You must be his real fan then...

  • of course I am

well people like some singers because of their looks or because of their money or something else, but I think talent is the great gift from Allah, so I love him because of his voice but thanks anyways

  • ahmad wali thanks its a beautiful song

  • Lets not forget that Ahmad wali was very instrumental in influencing Salma as well. He sang many songs with her and tutured her in singing. She talks about Ahamd wali being the biggest influence and teacher to her.

  • He is the best, He made Hangamma where she is today which is a little Famus .Without him she was nobody.Everyone knows that.

  • It is a fact! Everyone, including Hangama knows this. Without him, Hangama is nothing. She tries to be attractive with the use of ad a wigg. Although, she was not in fault when it comes to their divorce.

  • Of course! Hangama without Ahmad Wali is nothing. Her songs seem quite cheap compared to her classic songs that she was singing with A. Wali.

  • I disagree! It is Hangama who is still in love with hime. She still sings not only their douet songs but also Ahmad Wali's solo songs. She also sang one special song for him in her CD.

  • My heart really goes out for her. She has lost one good thing that has ever happened in her life. She worked so hard to be with him; she even followed him to Germany. Succeeded to marry him; a marriage that did not last long. Nonetheless, they have a gorgeous son that will be a reminder of their good times for them.

  • What do you mean that men in peshawar takes naghma for half hour banging, man those people are more clean than you tajiks ever can be!!

  • COMPOSITION: Ustad Mohammad Hussain Sarahang

    RAGA: Kafi

  • this song is very nice and ahmad wali jaan sings it beautiful

  • @karwizz Is this Kafi? with 2 N and 2 G? What about Pilow??
